No plugins though is kind of a dealbreaker

have you considered that maybe if 3 different people "get offended" by your comment, it might be cause you're an asshole and expressing your views in a really dick-ish way and invalidating a whole group of people? Food for thought, maybe do some introspection

It seems unlikely that eating lab-grown meat, for example, will be as efficient, in terms of CO2 emissions, as simply being vegan in a reasonable time frame. And it is currently not something that exists in a reasonable scale, so it's not a "religious zealot view" to advance the current most practical, efficient, and easiest solution.

And some people who are vegan would not necessarily be against lab-grown meat, but it depends on who you ask

What are you talking about this wasn't even Apple's invention, it was used in quite a few devices, it's probably more that people aren't aware of it

Pretty sure there were reputable news articles right after Oct 7th that said that Israel's intelligence was basically aware but decided to ignore it/dismiss it. So in this case they willfully ignored it for some reason, I wonder why..

Indeed, some models are reselling for extremely expensive prices nowadays, it's a bit crazy. Especially since digital is just much more convenient, but it can feel nice to have some physical media

Alternatively you could look into a cassette deck if you're not set on a portable player (one released before the 2000s, I don't think they make new ones at all anyways), the high or medium end decks tend to have better sound -- there's much less flutter/wow -- compared to portable players in the same price range nowadays, since they're less "cool". Still have to be pretty lucky to find good deals though

Well the point is to make it less of a popular thing to be a Nazi, and to make them be scared of being Nazis, at least publicly. The less Nazis are accepted the less people will find themselves validated in their beliefs

Yeah that's exactly the problem with modern cassette players, they're almost a waste of money. And the tape that is still produced today is quite terrible compared the old tape, so you also have to find old tape as well

Mexico's name is the United Mexican States.

Well, for one there's the constant love of the MIC (no criticism allowed), then there's the ever present transphobia and homophobia (exhibit A, exhibit B, exhibit C, exhibit D), then the anti-immigrant/xenophobic stuff (example, you can see a lot of "they're erasing our identity blablabla" bullshit there). Most threads have some right wing idiots.

No, they're solidly right wing, perhaps the mods aren't as much, but the people there definitely are.

The Trump administration on Wednesday threatened federal employees with “adverse consequences” if they fail to report on colleagues who defy orders to purge diversity, equity and inclusion efforts from their agencies.

Tens of thousands of workers were put on notice that officials would not tolerate any efforts to “disguise these programs by using coded or imprecise language.” Emails sent out, which were based on a template from the Office of Personnel Management, gave employees 10 days to report their observations to a special email account without risking disciplinary action.

“There will be no adverse consequences for timely reporting this information,” the template sent to agency heads said. “However, failure to report this information within 10 days may result in adverse consequences.”
