The more things change the more they stay the same. Before LinkedIn there were motivational posters that were hung around offices. It didn't take long for the demotivational poster to make its way into the culture just like these posts are now.
I used to fly united quite a bit and it used to be pretty good. But these days my options for flying for work are united, delta, and southwest and I usually choose delta because they don't charge you for shit and you can have both an overhead carry on and a small bag plus free internet on the plane. In the end they're all shit, but I'm going to pick the lesser of the shits each time. Same reason I have Comcast internet.
I'm actually surprised that this isn't how it works at Trump rallies considering he is a former president. When I went to see Obama at the Lincoln National Cemetery, they had everyone arrive in a different location and then had them go through security before getting on busses to the real location where his speech would be. I'm assuming that's what is happening for Kamala's rallies as she is the current VP. But it also just makes sense from a security standpoint of a former president? I'm also no expert and just speculating.
JD Vance puts mustard on his pizza pass it on
Based on the movies I've seen, I thought the title was implying that they were actually the same person. I should watch less movies...
This is just the plot of Hook.
The last apartment I had, the AC was old and would always go out a few times each summer. By the 3rd time, I went to the hardware store looking for a box fan, but they were out and only had an industrial fan that was more expensive, like $40. I bought it out of desperation. But looking back it's one of the best purchases I've ever made. Any time the AC went out, id whip out that metal beast and only ever put it on the first setting because the other 2 settings were way too powerful for an apartment. It's never given me any trouble over the years and has saved us from some very hot weather. If I had known then how good this fan was, I would have gladly paid more for it. It's currently being used in our house while we do renovations this summer and it's working like a charm!
I have recently needed to travel for work and my duffel bag was a pain in the butt to carry around the airport. All the rolling bags I saw for purchase didn't seem well made and were pretty expensive while somehow not utilizing all of the available overhead space. Even well known brands like swiss gear seems to have critical break points on their luggage. The last trip I made, I noticed that all of the flight crew used the same brand of luggage that looked very well made and was reinforced in all the right areas. So I looked it up and found that their non-commercial line was just as shitty as everything else I was seeing, but their flight crew line was top tier... But only flight crew could buy it. So I found a website that would sell it to me! $240 for a suitcase that looks like it will last my lifetime and fits the exact dimensions of the overhead space saving me $40 per trip to not check the bag (my company doesn't cover checking bags). Return on "investment" is 6 flights or 3 round trips. The brand is Travelpro for anyone wondering. And the site I purchased from is mypilotstore.com. They even sell spare parts such as wheels/bearings or leather handles. Super happy with my purchase!!
So when do we get to start claiming embryos as dependents?
I'm board and Lemmy needs engagement so I left this comment. Enjoy this shitty comment.
I'm genuinely worried about contraception in general. It's one of the tick boxes for Project 2025. And I don't know if that will mean prescription contraception or all of it. Luckily there have been some recent breakthroughs in male contraception that you can buy even if they aren't marketed as contraception for legal reasons. I'm not normally one to fuck with healthcare that hasn't been tested and approved, but people will get desperate.
