I can't tell if people here are pouring their grease down the drain.

The answer is don't. "It will be fine" for the person who told you that it will be fine, but it will absolutely fail for you. You know that by now. Also that guy is lying and already had to snake his drain but won't tell you that.

This apartment isn't big enough for the two of us and your constant eating of beans. You know why

One of mine is in high school, and as much as I hate the confirming culture, especially because it's led by morons and marketing, I choose the same path. I allowed my (now high school kid) to participate in all the awful crap that I would never do myself when she felt middle school pressure. She was in the popular kids group.

The caveat has been it all comes with extreme education from my end. Not demeaning or condescending. I over-preach about marketing/ads/influencers and constantly question why people make the choices they do. I question everything though. "How do you know that?" often leads back to tick tock.

In my experience, the OTHER kids are now getting smarter as they age. Mine is now able to live her life how she wants and is still with that same group , and the kids (I shit you not) look to her for purchasing advice. The vanity kinda goes away as their brains leave that dumb social hierarchy age.

Note: My kids are/were decked out in Nike. We live by the world headquarters and a good chunk of the kids' parents work there. If that isn't peer pressure, I dunno what is!

I wonder where they're all flying these days. Who's keeping the current list? How many years from now does someone come forward to tell the same story

If they report on the old things: "this isn't new news! Stupid media"

If they don't, "ugh 24 hour news cycle, they report on it once then forget about it. Stupid media."

I'm giving this one a pass if it keeps the files in the limelight and/or pisses off Trump.

When they break about their fourth they go "we got to drive right up on the beach!" It sounds cool, and image is all they care about.

Benefit of the doubt, I hope some people with disabilities that couldn't typically make the trek find this situationhelpful

Except the sidewalks are too tiny so the cafe is allowed to partition a section of the street for their tables

The sad truth is that most Americans, especially Trump voters, are likely, maybe, to have heard of Auschwitz, and even then only having heard of it and not knowing what it is, but have never seen those others in their life.

They think they have freedom because they have guns and can blow up fireworks and have a day to show it off. Literally no other real freedoms, but it feels like freedom.
