I have no doubt the PRC provided subtle aid, but I am hoping for something more overt. Something that would make it obvous this is not the US and Israel vs Iran (and Yeman and Gaza who the western press ignores or says is just Iran)

This lines up far more with the reporting I saw about the conflict from none western sources. The area where Iran did not have full control over its airspace, but they certanly had more control over it than anyone else.

It also with the spy planes looks like Israel wants a war agian, but got burned by being the agressor, and so now they are trying to bait Iran into striking in a matter where they have more plausable deniability

I am hopeful that this comes out with some sort of agreement, if that be Iran being added under the nuclear umbrella even temporarily, some sort of conditional defince treaty, but something more than the status quo.

That being said I am not super optomistic, the PRC has made great strides, and has conditioned its forign policy post USSR with avoiding getting into wars, as that makes it harder for them to be a propoganda target, and prevents them from over extending. the PRC has agian atleast sense the fall of the USSR been nothing if not risk averse, and only stepping where it knows it can, and this has served them well, the other edge of that sword is, I do not know how far they are willing to extend.

Thank you so much

So this might be a stupid question, but I have still seen contradictory statements. Did Iran ever sign a cease fire? or was this a Cease fire Israel agreed to that Iran is following dispite it not being signed?

[–] ComradePupIvy@lemmygrad.ml 12 points 1 week ago

So they want to violate the cease fire but keep Iran from retaliating? This feels like their goal with the first strike

[–] ComradePupIvy@lemmygrad.ml 8 points 2 weeks ago

That looks like it, it also serves as a wonderful retorical point resetting who the agressor is so they can go back to tue Israel has a right to defend itself montra.

I would also add its not just Iran would not do anything, but also no other nation would rally to its aid

[–] ComradePupIvy@lemmygrad.ml 4 points 2 weeks ago

Hence my feeling nothing will change

[–] ComradePupIvy@lemmygrad.ml 5 points 2 weeks ago

I find it odd how all the objectives are flexable, but I am glad that they where able to hit all their tick boxes I guess /s

[–] ComradePupIvy@lemmygrad.ml 8 points 2 weeks ago

Look you dont understand, they need living room, they said as much to the UN

[–] ComradePupIvy@lemmygrad.ml 8 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Odd, the things Israel says about Iran is the same things I say about Israel and the United States

I thought they said their stated goals where destroying the ability of Israel to have a nuclear program at all, and to cause rageme change?
