Been doing stick welding for a bit, but when it comes to thin steel such as on cars, sticks blow right through. I was thinking about getting a flux core machine to do some exhaust work on my car because I don't want to mess with gas.

What should I know about flux core? What are the biggest cons about it?

Insane capacity batteries

Lossless power transmission via wires

Better magnetically levitating trains

Much more power efficient computers, electronics

The list is huge

127c is the maximum operating temperature. If it goes above that, it looses superconductivity.

This material below 127c (which is insanely hot for superconductors) will be superconductive.

Operating range is -273c to 127c

It is absolutely huge

It means that you can make supercapacitors which have larger energy storage density than our current batteries by who knows how many times

It matches and it's not an article but a research paper.

It's an office computer. More or less it is a requirement.

I personally use firefox.

Are there any european cars that can be considered "muscle" ?

ICE aren't growing much in size and are getting more and more efficient. Why not make them air cooled? Porches used to be aircooled, and those were performance cars with the engine in the back. I would imagine having an engine in the front might be easier to cool, no?

Changed the light bulbs into white LED's (they didn't have blue ones) and from orange they turned yellowish.

I think this might pass the inspection, thank you for suggestions ^^

So on the integra the front turn signal is made oit of two bulbs, I need the one circled in red to be white to pass inspection in my country. The problem is the bulb itself is white, but there is an orange filter inside and I cannot remove it.

My idea was to put in a bright blue bulb in there to compensate for the orange filter and make it appear white. Is that doable? Has anyone tried?

Yeah, but the trained model is already there, you need additional data for further training and newer versions. OpenAI even makes a point that ChatGPT doesn't have direct access to the internet for information and has been trained on data available up until 2021

It seems rather suspicious how much ChatGPT has deteorated. Like with all software, they can roll back the previous, better versions of it, right? Here is my list of what I personally think is happening:

  1. They are doing it on purpose to maximise profits from upcoming releases of ChatGPT.
  2. They realized that the required computational power is too immense and trying to make it more efficient at the cost of being accurate.
  3. They got actually scared of it's capabilities and decided to backtrack in order to make proper evaluations of the impact it can make.
  4. All of the above

Unsure if babies can form memories ages 1-2, my oldest memory is from around age 3. They do learn words when they are around 1 year old, so there must be some capacity for memory? What is going on there?

My battery died (can't get above 10.5V, loosing voltage while sitting etc) and I need to get a new one. What should I look out for? There are a lot of different types of them like AGM, Lithium Iron, Flooded Acid etc

Car is Integra (1998)

It's way bigger than that. Usually cinemas receive movies in multiple terabyte hard drives. Thats because they are using JPEG2000 standard (it varies, but it is close to lossless) and a movie can take up anywhere from 500GB to 2TB (highly dependent on resolution, it can go above 2TB). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JPEG_2000?wprov=sfla1

Ah, I see :D I guess it is important not to miss those actual sparks of curiousity though

[-] DominicHillsun@lemmy.world 16 points 1 year ago

It doesn't, but at least it makes both think and hopefully improve the quality of the arguments. And with internet at our finger tips, it doesn't take much to double check a couple things :)

[-] DominicHillsun@lemmy.world 16 points 1 year ago

Haha, yes that indeed might be a problem! Any idea how to approach this without being incredibly annoying?

[-] DominicHillsun@lemmy.world 13 points 1 year ago

Problem here is the answer contains multiple explanations. When asking "why?" it needs to be more specific otherwise you get your problem.
