Wachovia was a smaller bank that got bought out by Wells Fargo, iirc it was during the 2008 recession

Open Source Gig Service apps? (www.westword.com)
 

Does anyone know of anything at all resembling an open source alternative to gig apps like Uber or Instacart?

I know a few places have cooperatively owned rideshare apps, but does anyone know any other examples?

Realistically the viewing could be replaced by the landlord taking a series of before and after photographs that are approved by the tenant. A $2000 deposit held in just a CD would generate $100 in a year, which is enough to cover a good bit of any random additional costs
