It shows up at my local grocery store every now and then for the normal price. They still have the tag for it, with all the rest of the knock offs, but it does sell out quick when it comes in. I snagged a bottle a month or so ago, as none of the replacements scratch the same itch and my kids only like the real stuff.

Last year I think. The lead singer has started a new project called Q.I.S (Queens in Sweaters) with 3 songs out so far, plus she wrote stuff for halca and performed some with Kana Boon. Miku (the drummer) is doing some DJ sets and playing drums with some other bands. The bassist seems to be taking a break for now and hasn't been up to much.

I understand the frustrations of being relegated to wing-man driver and occasionally feel like team doesn’t support you unfairly,

I was thinking this exact thing. Like when he was making the suggestion, and then got let down, I was on his side that the team wasn't being fair. However, him snarling at Haru and refusing to follow instructions really shows why he's the wingman driver and not the main event.

Same! I also thought up until around last episode that the dad was actually not strong or anything (which is why nobody had heard of him and he had a bad opinion of himself) but then he whooped that A rank without sweating.

I even know someone who smokes menthols because he said it makes people less likely to bum cigarettes off of him.

That's why I switched to menthols back when I smoked. That, and I just liked them more. I didn't like the ultra menthol ones like Kools or Benson & Hedges, but Marlboro Milds were just about perfect, and the amount of "Oh...those are menthol? Nevermind" was the cherry on top.

Was this supposed to be 1 or 2 cours? Since Summer is ending, and Fall shows are going to take this spot, I can see why they'd just put it on hold until they're ready. Lots of shows have been doing that lately (Nier, Misfit of Demon Academy, Ayakashi Triangle off the top of my head.)

I feel bad because the show started really strong, but the repeated delays caused it to lose a ton of steam. I may try the live action movie on Netflix to see where the story goes/see if it's worth it to pick the anime back up when it comes back.

Wait, so you mean the absurdist comedy movie made by the guy that made Beavis and Butthead doesn't go deep into the causes of the issues experienced nor tackles potential solutions?

I agree with both of you on everything. While the first part of the show was amazing, they really fumbled things with the middle portion up to the end. Even this last episode, while it had a lot of good stuff, kind of felt like "too little too late" and didn't really pack as much of a punch as it could have.

I also really hate how all these people who have done horrendous stuff are just given a pass. It's very frustrating and tonally doesn't make sense. It seems more like it's just convenient to ignore that kind of stuff (shades of abuse in real life maybe?) but very unsatisfying.

I'll give season 2 a shot, but it's going to be on a short leash.

I will say the episode this past week was much more serious than past weeks, and that might be part of it. Less of Kazuya being a scumbag and more just kind of wholesome. I'm sure it will get back to the usual "ugh" soon.

I think the first half of this show was really strong, but I feel a bit disappointed by the latter half.

This is where I am. The first few episodes were so strong, and I was genuinely excited to see where it went. Then it went to filler episodes where you would think with all the care and affection she was being shown, and the things she was learning, she'd become stronger and more her own person.

I really feel like if the Usubas start pressuring her to use her power for evil, as it stands now she'd do it and hope that someone would come save her. That's pretty disappointing to be honest.

I'll finish the show, but with the lack of development, it makes me wonder if the source material is the same and Miyo will just be a low self esteem damsel in distress waiting for Kudo to come make her happy. Not sure I'm interested in continuing if that's the case.

This episode made me super angry with everyone. After 2-3 fillerish episodes, the action finally starts, and things go to shit for Miyo again. Kudo not listening to her. The trash Usaba family that let her suffer for her entire life all of a sudden showing up like you're dad's 3rd cousin after you won the lottery. Them stating "we can totally teach her to fix the nightmares, but we're not going to" and deciding things with a duel. Just overall a very frustrating episode.

I feel like her mom sealed her power to hide her from the trash family because she knew what they were like. I doubt she planned on dying, so she figured she'd be there to unseal the powers and help Miyo learn to use them when she was ready. Just tragedy that she ended up not being there, and the family she ran away from got their claws on Miyo anyway.
