Did you read the article? "MCU" appears nowhere in it and Sony is mentioned 10+ times. This has nothing to do with the MCU whatsoever.

I, personally, have been blocking the users submitting the spam. This isn't a good solution, but it does clear my feed out and make it so that I forget the spam is there until I see another user I need to block.

The other thing I have been doing is submitting content to my favorite magazines - if we actively engage the mags, we can force the spam down.

At the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a wildlife preserve in central Kenya, lions and cheetahs mingle with zebras and elephants across many miles of savannah – grasslands with "whistling thorn" acacia trees dotting the landscape here and there. Twenty years ago, the savanna was littered with them. Then came invasive big-headed ants that killed native ants — and left the acacia trees vulnerable.

Anyone here have a Linux phone? I'm super curious about the experience, if so.

Anybody read the Star Wars comics? I love them.

"For a long time, the number of rats in New York City was unknown, and a common urban legend declared there were up to five times as many rats as people. However, a 2023 study estimates that there are approximately 3 million rats in New York, which is close to a third of New York's human population"

The story behind why James O'Barr wrote the comic in the first place is just as tragic as the death of star Brandon Lee.

Yep, there was a time when streaming services actually became easier than piracy. That was when there was basically just Netflix and Hulu. If you had both of those, you had everything.

It scratches my scrolling itch. I haven't really been back to Reddit other than when Google lists Reddit as the best choice for some info I need. But I've really enjoyed KBin and the communities that are popping up here. I hope it continues to grow.

This is tech journalism now? Might as well have had ChatGPT write the article too...what a waste of time

Yep. On the grand scale it doesn't matter if this comment was pre-determined or if I genuinely made the free choice to write it. What matters is that, to me, the illusion of free will is complete. There is nothing other than my belief that I am free to affect my own existence.

As Rush once said, even if you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

It helps to separate the technology from the companies. We don't need Google, Amazon, or any other company to make use of network connected technology. It doesn't have to be internet-connected, either. You can have a completely automated home with no more risk of intrusion than a standard locked door already has from a well-placed boot.

They should absolutely exist. Negative feedback is feedback, and expression of only one side of the emotional spectrum is a strange and unrealistic facsimile of actual life.

It's hilarious to me that people are willing to accept that technology can come as far as producing an LLM of the caliber of ChatGPT, but they can't fathom that it will continue to iterate and get better. It may be "bad" at certain writing styles right now, but give it some time. Think about how far it's already come for us to even be having this conversation.

Damn they won't make me magnetic? That would be useful, I could avoid dropping screws and bits every time I do a project.

[-] EmptyRadar@kbin.social 6 points 1 year ago

I hope not - or at least not for a long time. There are too many core features and functions missing to spend time on stuff like that right now, IMO.
