Callouts Map for Thera (sh.itjust.works)

cross-posted from: https://sh.itjust.works/post/21382218

Two new community (competitive) maps released for CS2 today, and one has callouts in the map itself. Created by FMPONE and MF_Kitten, we have Thera.

I decided to make a callouts map because it's the only way we will play for sure... although the new ranking system also helps, we won't be thrown in way over our heads when we play.

Thera looks to be a smaller map, but there are a fair number of upper and lower parts. However, since I used the in game minimap to make this map, the lower parts are darkened and not obvious. If anyone knows how to get the base layout map (much higher res, used to be shown in loading screens), please let me know. The map underneath the writing is terrible and I added contrast and denoised it a bunch just to make it useable.

As for the callouts, I changed a few parts. Here's the list of everything different (or could be different) about the in-map callouts:

  • "B Balcony" is just an unnamed balcony next to B site (which, btw, is slightly underground, under the "B platform")
  • I added "B" to "B platform", since "A platform" exists.
  • I added "B" to "B ramp". For the same reason above, I thought "Ramp" and "A ramp" would be poor choices.
  • I debated, but ultimately didn't add "B" to "Stairs". There is also "T stairs", which is underwhelming in comparison.
  • Same as above, I did not add "A" to "Arch", even though "Mid arch" also exists on the map.
  • I added "Bottom mid", as well as "T mid" to "Upper mid". "Upper Mid" is through the "Mid arch", which does make it a little disconnected from where I'd put "Upper mid".
  • I added "Long A" to "Long hall". That's just what I'd call it.
  • There are two callouts, "Upper catwalks" and "Lower catwalks", that are right above/below each other, so the callouts are just together on the map.
  • I think "CT bar" should just be "Bar", since there is only one.

No, dude, they are making fun of themselves. The joke is Dull has access to revise the changelog, hid an oopsies, then "self reported" and wrote "literally 1984" on it.

If your version of "fun" is repeatedly showing everyone the stupid thing you posted last time you were stoned out of your mind and telling them it's a great mnemonic or mantra, then I'mma have to ask for us to not be friends.

The Fahrenheit scale was built around human biology.

Nope, it was built around the highest and lowest extremes some dude could create in his room. Not based on human biology in the slightest. Don't repeat this false information.

0C isn’t even that cold, and 100C is literally instant death.

Yeah, but counter argument, who gives a shit? The "meme" doesn't say anything remotely close to "from 0 to 100". I don't know why you are under the impression that these scales become inaccurate if you leave the 0-100 range. I live in a region that frequents -40C to +40C over a year- that's centered on zero, so it's already better for "how humans feel" than being centered on 32 and pretending there is some cosmic/celestial/god ordained reason for it.

Kelvin is the most scientifically objective scale, but also the least intuitive for humans...

Still no one giving a shit- the "meme" doesn't remotely even suggest anything related to this.

Be forewarned that I am willing to die on this hill

I don't know why you sign this off with "I'm an obnoxious twat", but I'm perfectly happy with using the block function if the threat is real.

"Kilometres is how cars drive. Feet is how people run"

This has the same level of nuance and thought behind it. It's just stupid.

Nah, it doesn't make any sense, and isn't deep or insightful at all.

Just apply, but on hiring, say you are working remotely as the hiring information said.

Waste their time and demand pay.

Short answer, no. Long answer, also no.

You need to defend patents and trademarks, else you lose them. You don't have to protect copyright- works you create are yours, indefinitely (creator's life plus 70 years plus some company still exists plus whatever BS Disney comes up with next). Piracy certainly doesn't involve the first two, at all.

If Japan's IP laws are f'ed up, it's because it supports "holders" too much, enables patent trolls and gives corporations too much power.

why does it look like it has multiple images burnt into it? I don't know how that is possible, even on a kiosk phone.

wow, just like a certain game that launched twelve years ago, called "Modern Warfare 3"

Went to use Bing for DALL-E 3 for the first time for these. Here are the first returns:

This is a great thread, it was over 1k comments in a few hours, and I've spent all day scrolling through these. Hope the servers can handle it.
