I saw Richard Stallman at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

All types of government will have some form of corruption, but I’m not sure how a “free market” ran by people who follow the philosophy that companies only have the responsibility to answer to shareholders will generate wealth for “many.” Unless you’re advocating for trickle down pissonomics?

Rural communities have been using Huawei equipment for internet because it’s cheap and fast. The federal government became upset and demanded they rip everything and replace it with American parts. I think it costs like $12 billion, but the US didn’t even give the communities 50% of the required amount to switch over

No it isn’t. The WWF is doing this and the result is a bunch of paramilitaries running around killing and raping random people. Not to mention, in Africa, many of the “anti poaching” organizations are run by ex-Rhodesian mercenaries/officers. Just some old white guys who are rich and want to feel powerful by killing black people with immunity and commanding other black people.

Lmao. I’m sure they’ll overthrow the government, just like the Americans did to their own government after invading Vietnam and Iraq. Have you seen what the Russian government is doing to mild protestors? Black bagged, sent off to who knows where, doing who knows what. It’s Kent State by like 500x. This isn’t 1980s USSR. The people there support Putin. And those who don’t and protest are still denounced by the west for not doing enough, as if westerners have ever succeeded in holding their governments accountable.

The most realistic outcome is that Putin resigns in disgrace and 20 years later they make shoot and cry movies about Russian soldiers in Ukraine. And then they’ll rehabilitate Putin as a strong leader anyway.

He did. He was also supported by the CIA during his times as a torturer of communists and as a dictator launching gas attacks.

Well Lula, MBS, Macron, Bill Gates, the Taliban, and Olof also attracted the attention of Beijing. So this shouldn’t really be surprising

Sometimes I’m driving in the night and I just see old women in work uniforms and a lunch bag walking by themselves on a tiny dirt path on the side of the road to a bus stop, with no lights except my headlights. Shits terrifying and depressing. Conservatives are constantly virtue signaling with child trafficking, but they don’t even want to fix the basic infrastructure that allows people to be preyed on

Again? I imagine you don’t recover after hanging out with Hillary Clinton. Maybe unless you’re chairman-daou

Anti Chinese government, pro Chinese people. Just don’t mention how many Chinese people actually support their government
