No joke, I think about "do all your shopping... at Wal-Mart!" more than I should.
Not yet, but it's still very much on my list of things to do
Last week I was on vacation (went to Disney World) so this weekend I'm gonna take it easy. Do some chores, order a pizza, play video games. Nothing particularly exciting, but I'm okay with that.
I just read through The Goblin Emperor by Katherine Addison again. It's about a half-goblin half-elf outcast who suddenly becomes the ruler of a country of elves. It's a fantasy book, but more about court politics than dragons. And even though that might sound a little dry, it's charming as hell.
Sorry OP, you should watch The Plague Dogs.
Don't worry about the title, it's just a cartoon about cute puppies!
Elite Beat Agents does its cutscenes in a comic book style. I'm sure they probably did it as a budget/hardware restriction, but it winds up adding to EBA's appeal.
I know we're on Lemmy and it's considered poor form to link back to Reddit, but you might really find the folks on r/FreedTheNips useful regarding top surgery. When I got my top surgery I opted to keep my nipples. I still have sensation in them, but not nearly as much as I had pre-surgery. I would assume removing them entirely would mean getting rid of all sensation, but I'm sure the people on the subreddit would have a better answer than me.
Best of luck, because it sounds like you're in a real rough situation.
I finished the story in TOTK on Sunday, and I just started Baldur's Gate 3. But I'm starting to wonder if I should pause BG3 for a minute and play through something a little smaller rather than going from one huge game to another.
For me it's usually about availability. If someone suggests I try out a cool game that came out in the 80s, there's a pretty good chance piracy is the only way to play it. Sure, you can pay way too much on Ebay to get a physical copy, and I have a fair collection of retro games, but it's not like the money from Ebay sales go back to the original creators.
Same with movies. The version of Star Wars I grew up with, the one without all the digitally added stuff since the late 90s, isn't on Disney+. If Disney announced a nice blu-ray Star Wars collection that featured the copies without Jedi Rocks and the extra aliens in the cantina and whatever, I'd go out and get it. But they haven't, so I stick to the fan-made 'despecialized editions'.
I don't pirate from the little guy. I buy albums on Bandcamp and indie games on Steam all the time. I want the small creators to be able to eat. But I'm also fortunate enough to have a little disposable income. I know some people pirate as much as they can, and while I don't entirely agree with it, I don't know their financial situation (or the availability of these things in their country), so it's not really my place to judge them.
The rest of the house looks pretty cool, and then you've got this bumpy slippery nightmare.
I was kind of an ass through a chunk of my 20s. I said a lot of stupid things, and wasn't good at maintaining friendships. If I could go back in time and tell people how much I care about them and enjoy their company, I absolutely would.
Done and done!
