One big problem with our voting system. If I do like the person running for a certain party locally, that means I'm effectively voting for the same party at the federal level. What if I think the federal leader is not the best choice?

This was a Sunday and the Go train only runs Monday - Friday for us

Have their been reports or stories of these drug users harming children or doing drugs in the school yard rather than the safe consumption sites? Honest question, I don't know the answer.

I went from Guelph to Toronto recently for a baseball game with my partner. Via rail was somewhere between $40 and $50 (I forget the exact amount) per person each way. We drove instead.

In short, make transit a more viable option and maybe more people will use it.

You're misunderstanding what I was saying. You gave the example of VLC being a superior open source video player, compared to other video players. I pointed out that VLC has been in development for a lot longer, so has had a lot of time to become as loved as it is. It wasn't embraced in the earlier years of its existence the same way it is today.

Once Darktable has been in development for longer, then it can be compared the same way, not to VLC, but to other photo management software.

Also, oranges are better than apples. Another unfair comparison.

The UI features and functionality of a video player is a lot simpler than something like Darktable or Lightroom.

Calling it a guide is misleading. It's labeled as a list of alternatives and that's what it is. Audio books are an alternative to reading, but it's definitely not the same experience.

That's not really a fair comparison. VLC development started in 1996. Darktable was first released in 2009. Give Darktable another 13 years of development and then you can make that comparison.

Hopefully this guy and his dogs aren't seen around here again. It was only a matter of time until an incident occurred and someone and/or their pet would be hurt

It was pivotal. The Kings were on a power play in OT of game 6. Gretzky high sticked Gilmour and cut him, but there was no call. Gretzky should have been in the box for a double minor, but instead scored on that same power play forcing a game 7.

Maybe they could place her in a cell with a repeated honking noise going on for weeks

It seems crazy how long the construction on York Rd has been going on for/will go on for. It really sucks for the businesses there and anyone living in the area
