I just remembered MrBabyMan. Turns out he's still an animation editor for Disney stuff, if anyone is curious. Wonder how he feels about social media in general now.

There's potentially a much more bleak explanation that could be the case since this reminded me of a moment in my childhood.

McDonald's management doesn't sound lucrative enough of a gig for childcare on top of the cost of survival with 2 kids, this could simply be a way for them to watch their kid and continue earning a living. I spent a few days "helping" at a grocery store for that reason when I was 8 or 9ish, though during the day and not at 2am, and my mom got in trouble for doing that too I think, because then I just stayed home alone for the summer after that.

Doesn't make it much better, it would just turn it into bad parent/child abuse, because of exploitation of the labor class.

The operating expenses will show a sudden and totally coincidental billion dollar increase in 2024, and tuition will be collected as usual in 2025.

If the inertia didn't physically damage more than half of those drives, I would be surprised. I don't think redundancy is a factor in this scenario. This has 3 likely outcomea. Restore from local backup in a different rack, restore from cloud/offsite backup, or the whole company needs to update their resumes.

Hey, I see you a lot on here, and from one of your other comments in this thread I can see why I might see you more often.

You were probably being sarcastic with that success comment, but just in case you weren't... Success isn't a single definition, and I hope you don't dwell on the cookie cutter model of "success" too much. Be the absolute best you can be for yourself and those you love, that's success too.

I hope there's a positive outlook for you healthwise. And despite there being some short sighted shit birds, there's also some good folk on Lemmy/fedi, and I think you're one of em. Hang in there comrade.

Alright, we can drop the accent, but y'all gotta compromise and accept the word y'all.

You're right, it's engagement at the level of an "all lives matter" chud. I didn't realize that was the level of thought you were intentionally going for. Congrats I guess?

They had her on. The opening act had someone asking her a question, "what was the cause of the civil war again, and does it start with an s and end with lavery?". I think she said yes, and things would have gone a lot better if she answered it that way the first time.

She's skating on thin ice, if she admits to any more conservative failings she'll be a RINO for good.

There was nothing moderate about his campaign. His primary focus during his campaign was to jump on the culture war bandwagon of restricting the liberties of trans kids, and inputting the "will of the parents" into the schools. Not all parents of course, just the ones that align with him politically.

And boy did he deliver on those promises. Laws allowing teachers to discriminate against children, book banning rhetoric, and much more including delaying and halting the already passed legislation on recreational marijuana and fueling the abortion issue.

He's as much of a shit bag as Desantis and Trump, he's just more careful about it.
