German intellectual here. I and others have been severely beaten, harassed and fired on multiple occasions for being intellectual.

Pointing out a flaw in someones plan, finding errors in reports (that are actually important to its findings) and other work related things.

It very much depends what region in germany and what class you‘re born into. If you‘re vastly different from your surroundings, you‘re in for a bad trip.

Thanks for mentioning those. I‘ve checked out the book. It‘s not bad so far but I‘m not convinced just yet. :)

If someone wants me to hate them and not piss on them if they are on fire, all they have to do is say that.

I know its a trauma thing for me an they are just ignorant but boy do I hate that sentence.

Sorry you had to go through that.

Mate delivering daily! I appreciate it! :)

I‘m using watchtower. Unless you tell it to delete old containers directly, you always have the „old version“ usable. Depending on what your container runs (e.g. a database that is unusable in case of rollback), you could add a manual db dump (probably can add that script to watchtower) which you can then reimplement in case of failure.

But honestly, a solid backup of my configs/files combined with watchtower is pretty neat. No need to intervene at all.

Good luck. :)

We‘re on a linux community and someone says they don’t see the need to use it and people will upvote „don’t use linux“.

I‘m exceptionally baffled. Why does one say this, why without context, what was the intension? So many questions.

I for one think you don’t need a reason to use linux. Just get rid of people making money off your back thats reason enough.

You can easily use a boot stick with ubuntu and thats it. If you have a second pc, download the ubuntu iso and balena etcher and make a stick. It has live boot as default so you can use ubuntu on that machine without changing your harddrive. From there you can access the internet and you could download a malware scan for windows (i suppose) that can not be tricked since the malware is not installed on the ubuntu os. I hope this helps.

Short answer: yes, you absolutely can.

But there are a lot of caveats (I did that with a usb stick): you need a light distro, ubuntu server in a nimble installation can work with that but if your server expands (like mine does) you will start to get a hard time.

So long answer: you probably shouldn’t do it if you can avoid it.

Same with the 3rd reich. Draw down the butchering so the butchers can do it just a little longer?

Spoiler alert: A friend of mine is what I consider very wealthy (and also 80yrs old) and she picks up everything she sees that somehow fits in her house, one of the apartment she rents out or could be useful to a friend, family member or renter.

While I don’t condone to the idea of buying and renting out property as a business practice, I think this particular person is wealthy, a treasure hunter and kind hearted. (In this case, the house this person rents apartments out from was built by her family so I suppose it’s less of a problem.)

Have a good one.

This is so cool! Will check it out!

Edit: I checked it out and this is a massive gamechanger for me and my wife (both ND)! I believe this could be the next big thing for accessibility for the ND population!

Thank you again for posting this!

Thanks for pointing that out. But as much as numbers don’t lie, the situation is very different on reddit, at least for the technical/niche forums on there.

A lot of subreddits that drove massive expertise to the place have shut down and moved to other places. It’s not about the api alone.

It’s about giving the finger to the foss community and other dick moves against „the people“. Twitter has been a dumpster fire before felon husk took over. Reddit not that much. As soon as 1%ers (in members) start moving, the floor is gonna shift in reddits corporate halls.

I moderate a couple subs there, one of those is top 5% or something. We‘re discussing moving atm. If moderators keep it low and organize, reddit is being hit hard.
