I have lived in a cold climate area my whole life and have severe reynauds syndrome. It can be 100F and the second I touch an ice cube all of my fingers turn deathly pale. Nearly 100% of the time, no matter the temperature, I will have an extremity that has no blood flow. It is severe enough that it is physically debilitating. I can't play in the snow with my kids for very long, or play guitar without running my hands under a hot tap. Right now I have a cheap box fan running on low, 10' away, and four of my fingers have cut circulation. Because there is no blood in my fingers or toes, touching anything freezing cold feels like they are being stabbed. I'm also very prone to frostbite and have worried about losing my toes a few times due to it. I actually have little feeling in them and have lobbed of parts of my fingers off which can't even slightly compare to the pain of grabbing a cold steering wheel. When I wash my hands the water has to be scalding hot and have accidentally caused others to scald themselves by forgetting to tell them.

My body though? Can't handle anything above 75f. I'm comfortable in just boxers in 50F. I overheat in long sleeves so easily that I own 1 longsleeve shirt. I had to get the HVAC tech at my work to change the air exchangers so that my work area was 60F so I didnt sweat through my PPE.

Plus, mine is a lifelong curse unlike your wimpy little leukemia. I kid. I just wanted to complain a bit. Glad you beat the big C. I hope to never have that battle and hope it was your last.

Many don't have to imagine because that's just reality.

Tussle their hair, smile and say "sure thing big guy. Want some chocolate milk?" And put your hands on your hips. It will make their day.

My family gives me street and road names, landmarks, etc.. which doesn't work for me.

What I really need is an address so that I can drive to the location once. After that, in my head I'm telling myself, "fork to the right, weird house, sharp turn, field, slow down because it's right after the old barn."

Either that, or I need them to say something like "remember where the old movie theater used to be? The one where your brother broke his tooth? It's the road to the left next to the gas station and it's the third driveway on the right."

After I drive somewhere once I can just get a feeling when I'm close to where I need to turn, or need to be, but for that first drive, you better give me exact coordinates.

I'm not divorced. I just like writing satire surrounding my personal opinions. Also, I personally stop every wedding I can. I want my wife and I to be the only married couple on earth.

Mine got our whole department of 9 people lunch once every 2 months from a local pizza place for maybe $100 each time. My bosses, bosses, boss apparently complained of how much was being spent on lunches.

To put that to a scale, I ordered between $10k-$20k in supplies each week. I cleaned out my area one day and threw $20k of unboxed equipment in the trash without any need to check with anyone. Corporate netted $70M a year off our small operation. That profit was, to them, a drop in the bucket.

Those lunches must have looked really bad on paper.

Wait, so you didn't get the alert while everyone else in your meeting did?

Did anyone else not get the message? I was in a store when it went off on the radio station they had playing over the speakers, but I didn't get anything on my phone.

The menu configuration is nearing Amazon Prime levels of stupidity when they used to have one of the easiest to navigate.

On a tangential note, this is the same reason I will not buy a phone without expandable storage. The cheapest statistic of a phone is now the difference between a $800 phone and a $1200 phone. For $30 I can double my storage, but that is not ok for manufacturers, especially when they can make $5 a month for 1G of space, that requires internet access, from millions of people. Learning that most people have to pick and choose memorable pictures and videos just because they run out of space is horrendous to me. The companies know that data storage will increase over time for every user, and they are banking on everyone banking their data in a more insecure manner, with them, at an ever increasing rate. I refuse to have my memories and heartfelt data held hostage by bullshit companies that can't even support their own devices for more than 5 years.
