Yep, the CEO of our multi-billion dollar company recently sent an email congratulating everyone on a job well done and record profits this quarter, yet our department laid off everyone they newly hired and cut all our hours. Dear God. I gag whenever I see the monstrosity that is the YouTube homepage without my logged in recommendations. I'd hate to see what's served completely randomly. I thought daytime television was a vapid wasteland, but it's nothing compared to unadulterated YouTube.

My mother does this. She says it's because she can't hear it when she puts it up to her ear. I think she's just not positioning the phone correctly to her ear.
