I'm one of those older Trekkies who will complain about the aesthetic choices of the DSC sets.

My view is that there is a certain style with sci-fi shows of this nature that are part of their identity.

Large swings in design choices are very distracting to the point of being off putting to me unless there is good reason for it.

One thing I absolutely applaud Disney for is how they've managed to modernize but still keep the 70s aesthetics in their Star Wars shows. And I wish Trek had followed the same path.

Further erode relations between Israel and other ME countries.

Turn international political option against Israel.

The only path to any kind of resolution in which Gaza gets sovereignty is if Israel is forced to the table by the international community.

To do that, Hamas has to get Israel to kill as many Gaza citizens as they can

Honestly, it's really not. It's rather trivial to find marriage records to find the original name.

Maybe it's the same for legal name changes, I don't know. I've never searched for it before.

But anytime I've had to find out someone's maiden name, it's been trivial for me to do so.

The law doesn't apply to changes due to marriage.

There probably aren't too many others who have had a name change.

Apparently the plan was to disband the local department and merge it into the department of a neighboring area, then split the cost in an effort to lower the overall operating costs of police services in the area.

The other city they were going to do this with declined the deal and so this town had to keep their local force in tact.

Upon hearing that the city they worked for was trying to eliminate their jobs, a bunch quit.

We have quite a while yet. We spend about 200 billion servicing the debt right now and have around 4.8 trillion in revenue.

The warning line is having a debt equal to your GDP. The US has a GDP of around 28 trillion but a debt of 34 trillion. So we are past that warning line, but by itself that doesn't mean anything.

For other countries it would signal to banks and other countries that it might be a bad idea to loan to them, but the US has a kind of special status in the global economy and this hasn't slowed down loaning so far.

They are more efficient than pure ICE vehicles though in most situations.

At low speed and city driving the regenerative breaking can make a 30mpg motor into a 50-60 mpg motor.

I drove one for awhile and the efficiency is noticable.

It's primarily the accessibility, yes.

While I support assisted suicide being an option, it should have requirements including a wait period.

Of these I've watched 8 completely:

  • Battlestar Galactica.
  • Parks and Rec.
  • 30 Rock.
  • Chernobyl.
  • Game of Thrones.
  • Deadwood.
  • Halt and Catch Fire.
  • Bojack Horseman

6 others I've started and gave up on part way through:

  • The Last Airbender.
  • Atlanta.
  • Better Call Saul.
  • Breaking Bad.
  • Veep.
  • Reservation Dogs.

Of the rest, half of them I've never even heard of.

I guess I don't have good taste in TV?
