To install a de-googled android version

I personally just learned automatic (had a deadline for my work, less risk this way) and the only downside is people complaining that I don't have a manual license. "What if" is something you'll keep hearing from people. I tried manual and it'd require me to do quite a few extra lessons and do ANOTHER exam so I'm just not doing it.

Honestly if you can, do manual. If it stresses you out too much, do automatic. Cars will go towards automatic/electric anyways so in like 10 years it really won't matter anymore.

This really is the 1 thing stopping me from switching over now. I got a google pixel only a few months ago and don't want to have to completely reinstall everything AGAIN already. I wouldn't mind if I had 2 phones so always have a working one, but having to change everything on my 1 phone right now just feels too risky.

The main reason for me moving here was that I'm shadowbanned on reddit after being active on r/BuyFromEU so my favorites are: !buyfromeu@feddit.org !buyeuropean@feddit.uk

The 2 EU alternatives I know to 1pass (Canadian) is either NordPass (Lithuanian/Panama/Netherlands, confusing company really) or ProtonPass (Swiss)

This to save 100$, he's so real for that

100% agree, its also good to just have this knowledge.

Would love to see more manufactured in the EU again. Not only to bolster our economy but also just have less dependance (and hopefully also less emissions) for the products we buy.

France and Germany will have it this year, we'll have to see how it evolves further but hopefully its a success!

In my opinion going to the absolute extreme isn't good either.

To me at least, this movement is about moving MORE revenue away from abroad and back into the EU so we can slowly but surely build up our own markets instead of relying on external countries.

Just because you buy a Nothing phone produced in China doesn't mean you're not doing good in terms of buying from the EU, more money is still staying here instead of buying an iPhone or Google Pixel.
