Why do you assume there is one?
Hey I understand the frustration, but the person you're replying too seems to me to be offering up their understanding of things in good faith, and if your goal is to maje the world better—good faith discussion is going to go a lot further in that.
Although if your goal is just to feel good dunking on that person, then I suppose this comment serves that goal, but I want to believe you do actually care about trying to make things better.
Is a CI/CD pipeline not a build system?
(this isn't a "gotcha", I genuinely may have misunderstood the post)
Ok I've done that and didn't figure out a line of reasoning for your assertion. Would you be willing to help me understand where you're coming from now?
How so?
Episode 1 & 2 are so rough me and my SO almost dropped it but after making it through to episode 3 we were hooked enough to practically binge watch all the way through the end of season 2 (where we're at currently).
Just watch episode 3 and see what you think at that point. I know it's cliché to say things like this but it really does pick up massively at that point. Season 2 especially is some of the most compelling TV I've watched.
Lemmy is still fairly new to most people here and most of these new people came from reddit. A group of people who majorly are having a single, shared, novel experience (moving from reddit to Lemmy) are gonna talk about that thing until it stops being novel.
It's already getting considerably less meta so I'd just enjoy it for what it is, contribute content to the communities you like, and just allow the meta conversations to naturally subside.
Isn't the concept of EDC at its most barebones just "here are the things I keep with me every day?"
I don't see how that's cringe.
I used emojis on Reddit all the time and never got any flak for it.
I'm not sure if Snapchat counts but I use that because it's basically just Texting 2.0.
Honestly the most optimistic thing that's come out of this. A potential AGI singularity is still terrifying to me...but this does take the edge off a bit.
