I mean it's important to distinguish between actual scientific tests and random managerial bullshit and wasting a day on "training".

The scientific test, assuming this is real science, and not more random crap found on a website, will just be based on observation. People with autism tend describe individual pictures while neurotypicals tend to impose a narrative on the whole collection.

There's no good or bad here, they're different ways of describing the world. You don't win if you're more autistic or neurotypical or whatever.

On the other hand training days like you're describing are always a complete waste of time. The aim is to turn up, do the minimal amount of engagement to make it look like you're a team player, and then just try to fit in with everyone else. There's is no point in wasting time thinking about course materials. The guy who wrote them was just bullshiting.

If it makes you feel better, if it was actually sunrise on summer solstice at Stonehenge, there would have probably been people in the pictures. I've heard it gets busy.

It's not really legal in the UK. It's unenforceable on claims under 5k and for claims over 5k the courts will make a case by case decision if arbitration is appropriate.

However, lots of companies still add these bullshit clauses as a way to bully people out of seeing a lawyer.

They forgot to mention he's funding a PAC that is financing most of Trump's campaign workers. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/sep/26/trump-voter-turnout-elon-musk-pac

Let's hope it's as well run as Twitter.

I remember playing Max Payne. There was some battle in a bar against a guy with a shotgun. If you timed it right between reloads you could run up to the guy, stand on the bar so your guns were exactly level with his face and empty two Uzi clips point blank into his face before he could reload.

Then you would run out of ammo and he would one shot kill you.

It's going to be so much worse than pasting ads if it ever actually works.

Rewriting the search results with LLMs let's you seamlessly mix the adverts into the text people are trying to read... That's why I need to sip a refreshing glass of coke zero(TM) when I'm contemplating the collapse of the internet into pure advertising drivel.

It was added by Twitter before Elon broke it.

"Trusted individuals" get to propose context, and it's vetted by a bunch of other trusted individuals. Everyone then votes if it's good or not. Context that is too contentious will probably get removed. If you keep proposing notes everyone hates then you lose the status.

It's all just the new testament. Before you fuck with poor people and nail them to a cross, make sure they aren't just slumming it, and actually have a very powerful father.

How fucked up would it be if your actual town square was owned by a private company?

You have just invented malls. Hugely damaging to society, but they come with convenient parking and air con.

I quite like the tag line X, the abandoned shopping mall of the internet.

I think it describes it well.

It wouldn't matter much.

Most of what a bank does isn't on your phone, but server side.

In fact most bank apps could be replaced with an internal web browser that is pointing at their website, and a password manager, with no loss in functionality or change in security.

And if you'd like to review the client side code the bank is using you can just open dev mode in your browser, right now.

Polywork is when you get fucked by multiple bosses.

He's already been defeated soundly at the voting booth. That's why there was an insurrection.

We really should be moving to consequences part of the constitution instead giving Trump yet another chance to steal power.

We get in trouble if we fail everyone because we made them do a novel synthesis, instead of just repeating what we told them.

Particularly for an intro course, remembering what you were told is good enough.
