I wasn't trying to troll you; I'm sorry it came across that way. I understood why it was disrespectful to use that word for people, but I didn't realize there was a problem with using it in general. Clearly I have more to learn here.

I discovered too late that I had already updated to the latest firmware which hasn't been cracked yet, but it turns out I didn't have to jailbreak it at all. I just deleted my Amazon account completely, factory reset the Kindle device, never logged in with an account, and now I just keep it in airplane mode and sideload EPUB files from Calibre onto it. Works great.

Yes, I do rotate it, usually once a day at the same time I go out to check on the plants and water them. Most of my plants are "full sun", so I'll have to see how well they grow with this method.

I'd be interested to understand more about why you find this usage of the word "retarded" offensive. I sometimes use the word as a synonym for "stupid" or "idiotic", but would never use the term to refer to a person with a developmental disability. I'm curious if your experience is different. Do you feel the word should be eliminated from usage entirely?

Thanks for the tip! The nursery I went to was out of strawberries, but I'm planning to get some soon.
