What do you mean by that? That the games are easy to emulate, or that volunteers have spent countless hour getting Emulation to work so now it's possible?

It's not about supporting new and interesting stuff. Everyone wants to work on new and interesting stuff. Public funding is more about keeping the old boring stuff that nobody wants to maintain usable.

Features. Their Mail doesn't work for me because I want SMTP and IMAP. Their cloud storage does not do Linux and can't be automated, their applications just seem rushed

Oh right, they ship a modified kernel, didn't think of this. I also didn't know about the zfs thing, my homelab uses btrfs.
