The best, most patriotic people I served with were two guys from Haiti.

We need another one for people who think posting, “I asked chatGPT and this is what it said…” is in anyway contributing to anything.

The MAHA report got me thinking. We need a concise slur for people who blindly copy and paste LLM outputs. It needs to say that the person is lazy, ignorant, gullible, disrespectful, and dishonest all at once. Something along the lines of NPC. Maybe parrot? But that’s not too catchy. Any ideas?

Talk about failing to pivot. Reddit was in such a good position to ride the AI bubble. Too bad all of their content had already been scraped. They then alienated their power users and casual users got a peak behind the curtain. New, interesting things don’t start on Reddit anymore. The entire front page is just trump articles and reposts. You can predict all of the top comments because it is the same shit over and over.

Uber: We just facilitate rides between our “independent contractors” and customers. We’re not liable for anything that happens

Amazon: We just facilitate purchases between our “independent retailers” and customers. We’re not liable for anything that happens

AirBnB: We just facilitate rentals between our “independent landlords” and customers. We’re not liable for anything that happens

It’s nice to see the first steps in destroying this completely BS business model. Hopefully this can start a domino effect.

If she had time to run a proper campaign, then they would have had time to conduct a primary. If they would have had a primary, she wouldn’t have been campaigning.

I appreciate the articles nuanced discussion of the topic and the deeper impacts. I was fully expecting just griping about how the CoC doesn’t work.

Yeah, there’s a big difference in protecting Obama or Bill Clinton who are retired statesman living peaceful lives and Trump who has been rallying for the last decade. How much protection is he really entitled to? Especially considering his rhetoric is motivating his would be assassins.

So, I have significant hearing loss. Phone calls remove most of the lower sound frequencies that I’m able to hear well. Trying to talk to an Indian woman speaking quickly on the phone is nearly impossible. I am so happy for this change. Requiring phone calls for service is an accessibility issue.

Yep. I was enlisted in the navy. I’ve seen this pipeline over and over on Facebook

Hate the Navy, Joe Rogan Phase, Hate the Government, Jordan Peterson Phase, Becomes sexist and undateable, Become libertarian, Be smarter and better than everyone else, Diet racism, Conspiracy theories, Angry and isolated because of their shitty beliefs, Digs in more and lives to argue, Lost their fucking mind

It’s sad watching genuinely decent people become angry, scared, and isolated. You can’t even feel bad for them because of how insufferable they become.

Literally every election is decided by the “undecided”. Democrats vote democrat and republicans vote republican. It rare that anyone changes party. What determines elections is if democrats can get people who wouldn’t otherwise vote to vote. Every time people turn out, democrats win. When people are uninterested they lose. Those ~50k people in suburbs of swing states are not unimportant, they are the only thing that matters.

Projecting him reaching a trillion dollars by using his average annual growth rate of >100% is ridiculous.
