I'm sorry but this can't be correct. I live within 30 minutes of two minor cities with plenty to do and me and my wife combined make around 100k. We live comfortably and have 50k in the bank in addition to retirement. We also have one kid. This is highly dependent on where you live. I am not saying the cost of housing, etc is not a problem but some of these numbers need to be put in context.
I lost my father some weeks ago, and a neighbor we were close to passed away during Christmas as well. Thank you for this. I've felt surrounded by death and have been in a pretty bad place, this post brought me joy.
Do some random acts or act of kindness on that day or night in addition to the things that others said.
But what about all of the freedom?!? And bravery!?!
Sorry for your loss, here's to your friend. Sounds like he was a good buddy, I hope the good memories of him bring you some peace.
If you buy a senator you'll get 20% off a supreme Court Justice!
Give him a break, he is at least admitting his mistake and has reformed his opinions. I am sure it was a difficult journey, and he should be celebrated for making it out.
Horizon zero dawn. Really early in the game but I like the mechanics, gameplay, and atmosphere so far.
Sam Holmes Sailing. I know nothing about sailing and somehow stumbled across his videos. He makes vlogs about his solo sailing adventures. They are relaxing to me for some reason.
I watched a few Jordan Peterson videos out of curiosity, and I will also watch some Joe Rogan clips as well for the same reason. For a while, I was bombarded by alt right YouTube videos. It's so crazy to think just a few clicks can lead you down that path. I was older when I watched so it, so I could obviously discern their real message, but if I was a younger man it would be harder. The algorithm almost seemed to slowly introduce more and more extreme views.
Christmas in July, happy Christmas.
I was really into them when I was younger, and I still enjoy music from their first few albums. They are way more pop-oriented now though. Chris Martin is very corny, but is actually a pretty talented and creative pop musician. I don't get the comparisons to Nickelback. I like them when I just want something low key, and easy to listen to. I also listen to a bunch of other "real" music as well, but for me it's not an either or thing, but just depends on mood.
