Just curious really. I don't bake very often, so sometimes I question why on earth I keep a starter alive. If it didn't take a couple of weeks to get a new one going...

That's why rather than trying to change people's mind on the internet, I've resorted to just ridiculing them instead.

I mean, Lemmy has the exact same potential for issues with admins and mods - the key difference being that if those issues happen you can just up and off to another instance without having to abandon Lemmy altogether.

I never see Liftoff recommended in these kinds of threads. It's my favourite app so far out of Thunder, Connect, and Jerboa.

But that's the great thing about Lemmy - you can just go to another instance and continue using Lemmy if you disagree with some admins decisions.

What's your complaint?

I dunno, it delegitimised the usefulness of Twitter somewhat. Now you can't be certain that the NASA account that announces an apocalyptic asteroid is real or not.

the UK do this as well

They do?

Well shit, they do! Shame they don't actually tell you about it actively - as you said, they probably don't want most people to realise.

Classic Conservative tactic.

"Evil, stupid, greedy-" stuffs pockets "-jobless, welfare scroungers!" stuffs pockets "Pensioners, vote for me to bring down our welfare spending!"

I just accidentally clicked 'Mark All Read' to my replies and now I can't respond to any of them :(

Would it be possible to have a settings option to prompt the user to confirm they want to mark all as read?

No, the title is correct as far as I can tell from quickly skimming the actual Nature article.

Unrelated rant - I hate the fact independent.co.uk hyperlinks the word 'study' which just searches it's own site for the fucking word 'study' rather than linking to the actual source data. Fucking shitstain practices.

I found the original article by plugging the independent article into ground.news. Fucking love that website.

Edit: what's more is that it's eating more than 100g of meat per day is 4 times more GHG than eating vegan. Eating <50g per day is about 2 times more than veganism.

OP's image needs to be captioned with your comment and then ever so slightly jpegified. chef's kiss

This is happening because our wages haven't kept up with rising costs. Otherwise paying £20 for a fish and chips wouldn't be an issue.

Anecdotal experience is great.

I've never once come across a website that doesn't work in Firefox and find Chrome and Edge significantly slower.

Just stumbled across this wholesome thread.

I had a lot of fun playing the Rotwood combat test recently and am very excited about the next playtest.

Hi, in the UK here. My lawn has a few strong patches of clover which I'd like to encourage to take over the whole place.

For context, I am black-thumbed and the lawn is some rolled turf over terribly hard ?clay soil.

What do I do?

I'm not much of an OC myself, so reposts will have to do for now. The original video was just posted straight to reddit in so far as I can tell. Was gunna try uploading to a federated video site but couldn't find a platform that seemed amenable - any recommendations?
