when it quits bring entertaining.

It's utility for the original purpose, communication without limits, (or checking for coffee) is being diminished, and at some point, ill stop using it for that. But as long as there are jokes and titties, it will still be a source of entertainment.

Appreciate the heads up. I'm pretty sure it's an AMD processor, but I don't know about the video card.

Is Bazzite an OS that I would use, or is it a set of drivers that lets SteamOS play nice with Nvidia?

Maybe hire some more guys?

I've got a gaming laptop from a few years back. Republic of gamers, or some such nonsense.

Been thinking of switching to some brand of Linux. Seems like this might be a good way to try it out.

We should be concerned about endangered moths. Hard enough to get people to care about other people.

The fact that he's bitching about it means it was effective.

If the president can ignore the court, the court can ignore the laws.

Of course, down that road lies. . . well, we passed Madness a while back. Not sure where this road leads, anymore.

Agreed on all points. But rational thinking is necessary for a functioning democracy.

As you observe, that's one reason we don't have one.

I think you missed the entire point of my statement, which, amusingly, proves my point.

The older generations get pissy about being called the "Democrat party" rather than "Democratic party," which, to be fair, is the proper name. But it's really a stupid thing to get worked up over.

The fact that you didn't even realize that I we talking about such a silly little thing is reasonably good evidence that it is, in fact, irrelevant to modern democrats.

Did any of the passengers on those 7,000 flights get any compensation? Or just a "so sorry, out of our control?"

Looks like delta tried to dismiss the passengers claims, but they are being sued for it.

The DNC can do far better, yes. But the voters can also do better. Thinking critically is an important part of participating in democracy.

As I said before the election, there was no option that did not include US funded murder of children. If Trump had been an outspoken opponent of the war in Gaza, (and we had any reason to believe him) then I could see the argument. But that was not the case, was it?

Naked Prisoners (startrek.website)

Is there an easier way to get clothing for a prisoner than drafting a pawn and having them strip in the cell before walking naked back to the cloths storage?

Has anyone here participated in the Fairborn Community Gardens in the past? I'm trying to get an idea of what the "normal" approach is, and what the general expectations are.

New to this whole Lemmy platform, but I'm liking it.

One problem I'm having is auto-play videos when I open some discussions. Not in the comments, but the post itself starts playing.

I'll skip my usual rant about what I think should be done to whoever decided to make that a feature, and just ask how to turn it off. I have "auto expand media" unchecked in my lemmy settings.

I appreciate any advice.
