I'm definitely not old (~30), and my preference has generally been my age +/- 5 years.

As I've gotten older, I've noticed that my sexual attraction has migrated from being solely based on physical attributes to being partially based emotional connection, intelligence, passion, etc.

I think it's also important to note that an individual's "peak attractiveness" can occur at different stages of their life.

I mean, Captain America doesn't own the concept of codenames.

We don't "need" to do anything in a fictional world about super spies but I think it'd make the world more interesting, and quite neatly explains why the same man has been at various levels of his career, physical fitness, skill, knowledge, and face through the decades.

I have never heard of an actual logical reason that it shouldn't canon, and you haven't provided one either

I'm all for that too. I feel like secret agents who's lives are dedicated to the job are the perfect excuse to have a roster of actors play the same "character"

Oh I see where the disconnect is. I'm on the mobile app, not desktop

I was not making a serious comment. Reread it but inject as much sarcasm into the tone as possible

Honestly, in my mind the codenumber 007 is reserved for the most elite agents and the moniker "James Bond" is a transferable identity given to the best of the 007s.

And no corporation will ever dissuade me

She's a successful black actress, they unfortunately come with the territory. I imagine they hit differently when they're coming from actual Nazis though

(This was meant to be a joke but it kinda just made me sad as I was typing it)

This counter-troll from Disney would slightly redeem them in my eyes 😂

What a wonderful idea. And it's not like the displaced Palestinians will have displaced another people in 50 years time because everyone involved is brown and therefore culturally homogeneous. /s

Completely agree. Although I have known a few people who went for accounting because of the reasons OP gave and absolutely HATED it. So it's important to make sure you can actually handle it as a day job

I'm not sure how to actually get to the root instance in Voyager. I can find a communities sidebar though

Oh nice, thanks for the heads up on the Local communities. I'll definitely use that quite a lot.

I'm glad I'm not the only one to think seeing other instances would be cool. I've been using the search a lot to find new communities I'd like to take part in and I think being able to search for an instance's communities could help a lot with the lesser known ones

For example, I'm on Lemmy.world, I can view posts by Local but I haven't figured out how to view all communities on Local.

I see value in being able to do the same for any other instances I choose to search for too.

I'd appreciate any help in doing this if it's already possible or even an explanation to why it's a potentially dumb idea 😅

Is there a community/site that organises and lists open source projects?

I want to get into working on open source projects but I have found it difficult to find the projects themselves.

I'd preferably like to be able to filter by project type, tech stack, state of development, active users, and active developers.

Is this an open source project in itself?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
