Love that place. Been there numerous times over the years.

Conservatives trying to deregulate scam products is entirely on-brand for them.

A phone which can fit snuggly into even the tiniest of my jeans' pockets sounds really appealing. I've kept a loose eye on these things for a while now, but I've been constantly put off by the price, durability, and sacrifices made to other features. My carrier also rarely (if ever) seems to extend any sales or promos to folding/flipping phones like they do for others. They are extremely expensive - exceeding even top shelf iPhone Pro's and Pro Max's for price.

Those that cycle on those routes should just cycle down the middle of lanes. One bicycle per lane all the way across. Don't let a single car pass.

If drivers don't want bicycles to have their own space then they have to accept that it's perfectly legal for bicycles to use the road.

They did used to make really good games. It was just a very very very long time ago. Many of the gamers that associate Ubisoft with being shit weren't even born back when they used to make decent, innovative games.

There are certainly some people that willingly choose not to vote, but there are also a lot of people that can't. Either because of inability to get to a polling station, employer that won't give them time off (or threatens punishment), or they live in a state that is actively attacking their voting rights and/or making it extremely difficult to vote.

It's important to remember that one of the parties in the US two-party system is effectively a fascist party and they hold power in many states. It is often not as simple as "just go vote".

No thanks. After the BC election I don't think my mental health can handle watching another circus where people line up to vote away their rights.

If it is going to be a primary computer or a work computer then I would get the Pro. The extra horsepower and cooling just simply make it more capable.

The Air is still a very good laptop and it is surprising what it can do, but if this is going to be a work tool for you then you should get the best that you can afford. An Air might be good 90% of the time but that 10% where it overheats will suck heaps.

Wow, this comment teleported me back to 2010 dealing with edgy 15 year-olds that think their opinion is the only thing that matters.

Turns out, people don't like it when software is installed on their computers without their permission. Especially when it violates their privacy! The term for this is "malware".

The new software is able to detect if the hood is open and, if so, will display a warning to the driver to alert them to stop their vehicle and secure the hood

This should not be legal. They should be forced to recall vehicles and replace the faulty part instead of kindly asking drivers to pull over when the part fails.

The shit this company gets away with is astounding.

Not surprising. They archive information that powerful people would rather we forget.

Neglect - 3D (lemmy.world)
submitted 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago) by TheFeatureCreature@lemmy.world to c/artshare@lemmy.world

A little something I whipped up to stress test my new workstation PC while in-between bigger projects. Made in Blender and Photoshop! :D

I picked up this old calculator from a thrift store for $25. I cleaned it up and got it working again and decided it would make for a cool thing to model, especially with the VFD tubes! My model is not perfectly 1:1 to the original but I tried to make it match where it counts. This model was a lot of fun to make and I am very happy with how it turned out! Made in Blender and Substance Painter.

Mushy (3D) - By Me (photos.smugmug.com)

A little close up macro scene I put together in Blender! I usually do expansive vistas or interiors so this was a nice change of pace for me.

Remaking one of my very first 3D scenes with my modern skills and knowledge. I think it turned out alright! Thank you for looking :D

Made in Blender and Substance Painter with editing in Photoshop.

Winter Wonder (3D) - by me (photos.smugmug.com)

Been a while since I made something snowy in Blender! Turned out decently, I think. I usually do pictures with stronger, more direct sunlight so it was cool to do a semi-overcast scene. Made in Blender with light touching up in Photoshop!

A sort of thought-exercise-turned-artproject encouraged by my therapist. Not exactly how I imagined it when I started but that is usually how these go. Made in Blender with editing in Photoshop. Thanks for looking :D
