If you have kids or pets, or just have a tendency to be a clumsy person yourself, then glossy is much better from a practical standpoint. So much easier to clean with less risk of rubbing the paint off the wall. To be fair, I don't have much of an eye for style so it suits me just fine.

That's grammatically correct in the neck of the woods I grew up.

As someone who has never tried Linux, this meme has done more to make me want to give it a try than anything else Linux users have thrown at me so far. The fox is very convincing. I might step into the back of an unmarked van if it asked me to.

Cishet guy here. I use the term "partner" all the time because I prefer nongendered relational terms. Plus, partner sounds a little more serious than saying "my girlfriend". We've been together 8 years but are not interested in marriage, so I feel like it's just the best word to use. It is amusing, though, when my partner isn't present and I'm talking to a stranger, that they often just assume I'm gay when I use it.

Or, as my mom so concisely put it when I was a child, "Right is wrong if you're straight."

Whenever I see "cishet" I pronounce it in my head "sishay", like how one pronounces sachet. Makes being cishet sound pretty fabulous.

Reminds me of when my build in Minecraft doesn't quite line up as I had imagined and I'm too lazy to fix it. Guess that happens in real life, too.
