Why all the whataboutism?

Every election cycle there is a non zero number of people that get tricked into voting against their own best interest. That’s a valid thing to call out and be angry about.

Just because that commenter pointed that out doesn’t mean he doesn’t also get angry about all the other things you’re “whatabouting” about.

You have to vote for the lesser of two evils in order to get a chance at changing the election system.

The GOP are trying to take away voting rights. Not the Dems.

I’ve been banned from lemmy.ml for stating that Russia invaded Ukraine.

They actively ban anyone who doesn’t support Russian propaganda.

The problem is, there is no way to know when or where a leak will start. So maintenance just means looking for existing problems and fixing them. But it is often too late by then.

I’m gonna guess Trump would respond with:

A) “Fake News”

B) “A lot of people are saying they aren’t Chinese”

C) “Ukraine shouldn’t have started the war. China is just helping an ally.”

D) Not comment on it at all and say/do something attention grabbing to distract.

I don’t think he really cares about China. I think he’s just sabotaging the US for Putin.

You don’t care about “your people’s” plight as we can prove with Trump’s 2nd term.

Policy on Palestine definitely did change. Protestors are disappearing and Trump plans to own Gaza and much more.

This is the result of bad faith actors like yourself helping Trump get elected.

It didn’t hold Dems accountable. It got Trump elected because that was the intent all along.

There are many constituents that support Israel. As you pointed out yourself it is a politicians job to represent those constituents.

The bad guys in this are the bad faith actors that use Gaza to justify helping Trump get elected.

They ALL claim they voted for Harris while in the same breath spreading FUD towards Harris.

The people like yourself, that complained about our only choice other than fascism, are the ones to blame for getting fascism elected.

I blame everyone who didn’t vote for Harris. They all contributed to Trump and his fascist takeover.

Gaza protestors were tricked into voting against their own best interest and that is a lesson that should be learned from instead of repeated.

But bad faith actors like yourself don’t care about Israel or Gaza. You are just trying to get less people to vote against fascism.

Good thing Gaza protestors didn’t vote for “Genocide Joe”. /s

This is an oversimplification that ignores nuance.

It’s like saying “everyone dies one day, so whatever symptoms you are experiencing automatically mean you are dying now”.
