I like using Firefox, but it's a bit ironic to have google analytics tracking on the page you declare to protect the users privacy.

I am using Godot 4.1 and after I added the first rigidbodies to my game, I noticed the physics seem really unstable. The floor is a StaticBody with large and 1m thick BoxShape. I have RigidBody objects with simple BoxShape colliders and the thinnest side is 0.3m. Often when I knock them on the floor they do not come to rest, but keep vibrating indefinitely. They are not on top of each other, this happens when a single object is only on top of the static floor. Increasing physics ticks per second to 120 seems to help, but I am not sure how it affects performance and what will be my final targets. Is it normal for the physics to be so unstable and jittery in such a case I would assume to be very simple and mundane at 60 ticks per second?

Fun fact: US has so weak food counterfeit laws and enforcement it has become the dumping ground for low quality oil or even mixed, making it an allergy hazard. If you haven't gone out of your way to ensure you are getting the real deal, and paid a premium for it, you probably have never tasted genuine extra virgin olive oil. https://www.mashed.com/281801/the-real-reason-your-olive-oil-is-probably-fake/

Can't wait an indie developer to go bankrupt because the super secret algorithm counted updates as new installations and the developer gets billed multiple times for their whole player base.

So... If the Unity's secret spyware and algorithm suddenly decides to count an update as a new installation, you suddenly get slapped with a huge bill. Especially if you release multiple small patches and your whole player base is counted multiple times.

Half as Interesting explained how it ended up like this. https://piped.video/watch?v=_Bq-6GeRhys

TL;DW; Amazon tried to offload vetting of the third party vendors to the patent and trademark office by requiring their brands are registered, but the vendors ended up generating nonsense brand names that automatically pass because there are too many applications and the names aren't obviously going to conflict with existing ones.

It is a significant part of your culture and heritage, you should actually read it at least once. It does not need to be the archaic original version, many if not all have meticulously modernized revisions that retain all of the meaning while making it easier to read for modern audiences.

"smart" devices aka Internet asbestos

A thorough but not densely written explanation of the basics of how and why natural selection works and can lead to incredible complexity with tiny steps and without a master plan.

Also introduced the term "meme" for the unit of cultural evolution comparable to the gene of biological evolution.

Rise and shine, Mr. Freeman. Rise and shine. Not that I wish to imply you have been sleeping on the job. No one is more deserving of a rest. And all the effort in the world would have gone to waste until... well, let's just say your hour has come again. The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world. So, wake up, Mr. Freeman. Wake up and smell the ashes.

After working few years on a complex web application, I am starting to feel this style. Doing RESTful APIs for anything else than dead simple CRUD is pain.

In certain circles it is well known, but Baba Is You is one of the most ingenious games for a long while and should be known even wider.

Priorities shifted, "we're doing good" became "we need to reduce the workforce" over weekend and most of the people who they would have liked to keep decided this is a good time to look for something new.
