Depends on if the character's supposed to be a self insert. In a game with deep customization you may be trying to make yourself, and not playing as Lara Croft or Geralt, so being able to choose your pronouns helps immersion, and immersion's a big deal to many players who'll take it anywhere they can get it in a game, whether it's pronouns, or being able to see your torso and feet when you look down.
I think a lot of people that are extremely critical of it weren't going to buy it anyway and just want to enjoy banding together to shit on it in camaraderie because it's popular to hate it.
There's also this sort of awkward dynamic that Bethesda has created with its player base where the extensive amount and kinds of mods their games end up with means people view every small facet of the game that they don't love as something that they want to change and modify, where a different game that's bolted down and doesn't have guaranteed mod support would just never have those little bits talked about at all, and the players would just talk about what they like instead.
If you look at comments about Starfield even from players that enjoy it, you notice that most of the time nobody says anything about what they think it's doing right, aside from a "and it's still a good Bethesda RPG", while also having a small list of things they don't like or want to change. Just knowing that changing these things is possible makes people fixate on wanting them gone or different.
Is that a hardware thing? I haven't had any real stuttering or freezing, just low FPS in the cities
Turns out if you have flawless facial structure you can pull off any haircut
Yes, it really knows how to make inventory management an integral and engaging part of the gameplay. Too many times is inventory management done wrong or relegated to a mechanic thought of as "busywork". .
I'd love to see more games shine a spotlight on it, because I find it very interesting.
Oh man, I despise when people think that shit doesn't need an apology if time has passed. Time passing doesn't mean I think youve changed as a person, you need to show that to me, and expecting someone to forgive things when nothing's been done to repair that is its own problem.
I'd read somewhere that there's some sort of Linux programming reference in the name, but I don't know anything about Linux so I can't quite remember. Don't quote me on that, though
Thank you, Kanye, very cool
It's basically an action RPG but the way they you get around the world is parkour and there's a skill tree related to free running skills. It's a phenomenal system. I prefer the first one to the second.
As people got the hang of using Discord to make large, complex, moderated and bot assisted servers people communicate more heavily on there.
Discord moves too fast for me to want to use it that way, all conversations disappear rapidly on busy servers, but other people certainly do
I don't know anything about daddy long legs, but I'd assume it's okay as long as you don't try and do it when it's in the web.
If it needs a web to live its life then it must be able to account for damage. Whether that means it repairs your damage or it decides another location would be best, it should be able to accommodate.
My best guess is that it's a debris effect from your ship taking damage, and it's supposed to fly away and expire, but somehow got stuck instead of disappearing, so now it's an "effect" on your character that doesn't know its supposed to have timed out already.
Other Bethesda games, especially Skyrim, had bugs like this of status effects that would get stuck on your character longer than they were supposed to and you'd only realize hours later when your character has some weird blue fog following them
