I don't think gym goers usually listen to podcasts in the gym. They probably do it outside the gym. But again, they could just as well listen to someone like Peter Attia or Mike Israetel. It doesn't really answer the question: Why is it that gym goers are generally right wing? Maybe they are not and I am just suffering from a selection bias.

My favorite anime is One Punch Man. I just like the vibe of the character and his depressive outview. I sympathize with Saitama, such a well written character. However, go to the onepunchman subreddit and god damn, most of them are drawing children in minimal clothes. What the fuck is wrong with everyone.

Even in Europe (where I am from), most gym goers are people who would have voted for Trump. I think it might be due to the fact they are generally younger? I don't know. I do know that it is annoying trying to befriend someone and then you find out they are right wing. God damn.

You can do so by just regularly commenting and/or posting, but also by creating new communities and bringing some activity to inactive ones!

I have an alternative proposition:

As a society, we should all agree that car culture is not good. It is not good for the health of cities, not good for the envinronment, not good for anything really. Let's get as far away from cars as possible and start improving public transport and other ways of moving. One thing I would love to see is more shade in cities, from trees. Way way way more trees.

Pay attention to her "bids for connection". When she asks something, even if it is something simple, such as a request to look at a meme on the phone, try to accept the bid and do look at her meme.

Also, why not just ask her? "Hey sis, I see that you are unhappy with the way I treat you. I am sorry, I will try to do better. Can you tell me what it is that you want me to do more?"

Look to whom you are giving the money. That is a very important part of the whole story.

Pirating is not necessarily resisting. Are you taking money from authors who really really need it? Or are you taking money from rich CEOs who are worsening the environment, ruining future generations, slaving, etc?
