Better to put my efforts toward automating the flipping of light switches and the raising/lowering of window shades

And some brands of 3D printers have started placing those functionalities behind remote servers and paywalls

There are a million third party vendors that sell replacements on amazon, just take a look. Though - and I don't know for sure having not actually read the article - it seems as though you may also need to change out the firmware so you can keep operating it if iRobot's servers go down, since all the roombas i'm aware of need internet connectivity to operate.

If you're at the point where you need to start replacing parts, it might be worth starting to look into other brands

Elon to Trump: "I can't fund 2026 midterm candidates if Tesla goes broke"

Trump:

I'm really confused as to why 'Russians' are generalized as the last domino here

Like, could have easily been 'Putin', but even then are we content with stopping at removing despots? Let's at least aim a bit higher, maybe 'oligarchy', or even 'capital owners' if we're being ambitious.

Definitely illegal, and definitely a test balloon for what types of executive authority they can get away with.

They chose Khalil specifically because of the subject of his protesting - they might get a handful of judges that allow this abuse because of the near-universal bipartisan support for Israel.

Whether or not this sticks will be an indicator on how far the US slips into fascism, and I'm certainly hopeful this gets reversed quickly.

And we don't usually get to see the receipts, but this time we do.

It's one thing to make mention of or recommend another community, it's another to spend your time flooding their threads with it repeatedly, even when asked to stop. What starts as impassioned advocacy can quickly turn into harassment and spam, and I think you crossed that line.

It should be evident just in the way you wrote an entire wiki article in this post - they were right to temporarily remove you from this conversation. If you only go there to dissolve their community, they have every right to kick you out of it.

YDI.

Not because you're wrong about consolidating communities, and not even because you were trying to get people to move to the other comm; but because you're doing it in the least communal and democratic way possible, and for your disregard for the mod team and community's collective intent. I think the mod team handled this pretty well.

These kinds of crusades are antithetical to the spirit of the fediverse, and I really wish this community didn't attract so many Don Quixote-types fighting windmills.

Idk if using a homophonic slur (even as an lgbt individual) will fly here either, honestly.

Just a heads-up

They want Europe to feel threatened so that we come to them for help where they can put on the mask of protector when in reality they want to turn the entire world in the dystopian shitshow they have

Couldnt this just as easily be about the US?

[–] anarchiddy@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 1 week ago

Implying that the US chooses foreign support on the basis of democratic principles is misleading at-best

It's like me telling my doctor that I have a glass of wine a day, even though I also have a bottle of whiskey a day.
