Trying to start a movie collection here. Downloaded qBittorrent on my Galaxy S21 FE . About to download Rambo from a recommended torrent site.

The app asked me for a server.... damn..... couldn't find much help on the internet. Have no idea how to fill out that server connect screen. Do I put in my IP address or something?

Completely clueless here. Probably a dumb question round' here but worth a shot.

Thanks guys.

I've been torrenting on and off for about 10 years now. Been doing it mostly without VPN until recent years but recently I was planning to switch VPNs to something like proton VPN. Doing a search, it seems like even with VPN, some ISPs can send you a warning.

On top of that, I was curious how the warning comes to you, whether it be by mail or email, etc... anyone experience something severe yet? Maybe ISP shut down your service or even getting sued?

Hello everyone,

Hope you are well.

I have been torrenting for a long time now, but I only download and seed, I do not upload. Today, I decided to upload something to a private tracker, and followed the rules. But I am confused and some help would be appreciated.

  1. I created the torrent using qbittorrent, file is selected, marked private, 2MB size set, announce URL and all done. After I saved the torrent file, I can see that the software is already added and seeding it.
  2. I uploaded it to the site, filled up all necessary information and screenshots etc. etc. and after I clicked on upload, it showed me that upload is done, and giving me an option to download the torrent.

Now, do I have to download this torrent and seed this? or just the one qbitorrent created and added to the software already?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

I've noticed a concerning trend -4K releases, especially new seasons of series are becoming harder to get when older seasons used to drop like a day after official release. What's the reason behind that? DRM harder to crack?

Accidently overfilled my ssd (zerobytes.monster)

So I'm bad at math ... I have uTorrent set to preallocate and downloaded a file over my ssds limits. Think 100g ssd and I got a 120g file.

It now won't open the ssd and even in safe mode locks up windows until I disconnect it.

Is there anything I can do to save this ssd?

So I have been happily using fitgirl for my downloading needs for a while now with no problems

Lately, like the last two weeks during install when it comes time to update direct x, the app will hang up for 15 or 20 mins before it finally finishes. Even get the "app not responding" warning with the option to quit and report. Eventually does finish and everything proceeds to the microsoft visual c+ update which works fine and the game works fine after that.

Not sure what I have done but any help is appreciated

As some of you may already know, an ever increasing number of ISPs are blocking the use of public VPN IP addresses on their networks. Based upon my personal experience, It appears that Verizon FiOS has now joined the fray by blocking the use of some Mullvad VPN public IP addresses. Mullvad doesn't offer dedicated IP addresses to their customers. Thus, torrenting with Mullvad VPN public IP addresses is becoming a lot less usable. Mullvad VPN public IP addresses are still usable with ISPs that block their usage, but only by employing their SOCKS5 proxy features. The problem is that seeding with a SOCKS5 proxy is virtually impossible without a dedicated IP address. Unfortunately, I don't know of any other way to work around that issue.

What do you use to torrent? (zerobytes.monster)

Got back into torrenting a few months back, was using qbittorrent with plugins, all was good. Last update to 5.0.0 messed everything up. Stalls, no results, very slow speeds, buggy… days of trying to resolve and I’ve given up

Utorrent was what I see to used but haven’t heard great things lately…

Recommendations????? I’m on a Mac and have NordVPN

I created a torrent with qbitottrent and shared it. Thanks to this I downloaded the file completely via magnet link on a second computer that is always on in seeding.

However, I cannot download the file on other computers without the original client from which I created the torrent being open and in seeding. It seems that the third computer cannot download the metadata from the second client if the original client is not online.

Why?
