Hi!

I'm looking for a torrent site to download / watch some cartoons - like spongebob and avatar - in german, with dub and CC subtitles. I tried many sites, sadly to no avail.

I also have always on VPN & qbittorrent set to the interface, so I am prepared. I know torrenting is illegal in Germany, but it is completely legal in Switzerland, so I might as well give it a try.

Thanks!

Okay, so, sorry if I'm an idiot about these things, but I never got very far into this realm before. I largely download books. Novels, RPGs, sometimes comics. My best places were demonoid or Pirate Bay, but those both seem largely defunct. Any suggestions?

I'm looking for something on Nyaa, and I know there are some search tweaks like - before a word to avoid and so on, but I'ìd like to find something in a torrent file list.

The only way I know would be via DHT crawler but that doesn't show everything. If I enter "Apple" only results with "Apple" in their title show up, which is fine, what I want to do instead it so also find results with "Apple" in their file list, regardless of the torrent name. I'm asking this because many time a dead torrent might have that same file somewhere else, with the very same name, but "behind" a different torrent title.

The question is mainly for Nyaa but I also use other search engines as well since I haven't managed to find an alternative in jackett or qbittorrent search engine.

My private tracker says clients with DHT enabled are banned. The client on my seedbox has had DHT enabled for many years now. The tracker has never complained or taken any action. Why is DHT deemed bad enough to mention in their ToS, but not bad enough to bother taking any action against?

(For context, 99% of my downloads are from the same private tracker. I don't recall ever intentionally using DHT to torrent but have also never tried to avoid it. Tbh, I'm not even entirely sure how it works, but presumably the people running the tracker do.)

Considering one of the benefits of Torrents is that they the content is not held in a single targetable location, is there a mechanism to have the index managed in the same way?

This would then remove the need for the centrally managed index sites.

In addition, index searching could now be distributed and a consumer can tag and watch for new content in the way they want (assuming the searching tool allows for local notifications of things they are interested in).

I guess having some idea of the volume of data actually in an index would be useful, but not everyone would need all of it.
