This feature is in development for the upcoming Mlem 1.3 build.
We unfortunately can’t make long press the collapse post gesture, since that is already taken by the system context menu behavior. We can, however, add an option to disable tap-to-collapse, since we already have the alternative of swiping very far to the left to collapse a comment implemented.
Swipe actions on expanded posts should be feasible, but I’m not going to promise it until I’ve reviewed our other planned features and verified that there aren’t other uses for that gesture under discussion.
We've been working on it. A simple tap to jump to the top is pretty easy--things get tricky when you start adding complications like "jump back into the feed" or "navigate up a level," which require a more sophisticated architecture from the ground up. It is in active development, though, so we hope to have a prototype out soon enough.
If you're on the beta version, you can turn it off in Settings > General > Haptic Level.
If you're on the stable (App Store) build, this feature isn't available yet, but we're planning to release an App Store update within the next few days that will bring this feature (and many others!) to the stable build.
We're working on it! We've got some nice new search stuff in early development, still working out the ux but it should be out in the next build or two
We've heard this from a small percentage of users in the TestFlight--we're still trying to determine what's triggering it. Would you mind taking a screen recording and sharing what model/year of phone you're on? You can also message me directly if you don't want to put it in a comment
Well this article just isn't right at all
I drive an entry level EV (Hyundai Kona) that advertises 4mi/kWh, which is roughly accurate (2-3 in the winter, 5-7 in the summer). That's 25 kWh for 100 miles.
Average cost of electricity in the US is, according to a quick Google, somewhere between $.15 and $.25 per kWh; where I live it's a steeper $.33.
Therefore, depending on where I charge, I'm paying anywhere between $3.75 and $8.25 to drive 100 miles--$1.50 short of the article's published $9.78 even with my expensive power.
In reality, though, I pay nothing--my office offers free charging. Show me an office with free gas.
Thanks for the feedback! Would you mind sharing a couple details to help us figure out what might be causing this?
- Which post size are you using?
- Is scrolling choppy scrolling both directions, or only up?
- Is it worse in certain communities or on certain types of content (e.g., web links)?
Yes! We're planning to get it into beta as part of our 1.2 milestone, which should start development early August
We're working on it--it's been a bit slow because saving pictures and a detail image viewer is very closely tied to how we handle images, which we've been playing around with a lot to get the feed to scroll more smoothly. Picture saving and detail viewing should be out in the next major build.
We had to create a new TestFlight a couple weeks ago when the founder left the project. Our new one is full, but we're hoping to be on the App Store within a couple of weeks so stay tuned!
Not right now. We've rewritten and reorganized the entire infrastructure that handles settings and configuration, and the new and old schemas are more or less alien. We've got an issue open to build a settings import/export tool which will allow things like easily migrating settings across platforms that should also make this possible.
