I don't think people should drive for the simple reason that for most of history, we never experienced traveling at such high speeds. We don't have the reaction time required to handle that, especially when the stakes are so high.
Unfortunately this might not be something from Reddit. It could be universal to all human communities. People want to feel that they are in the right but not be questioned, when countering opposing arguments is the way to truth.
Is there a way to to something like this for Lemmy? This is one thing that I used all the time for Reddit and found immensely useful.
