Yup or colo is full and won’t accept any more changes. So one has to wait until someone else gives up space and then a fire sale on the newly freed space.

There is a first time learning curve to climb and there is a project that good chance will never complete. This is really looking like the later than the former. Don’t forget how much money already sunk in. This was back in ‘22, project started in 2008.

Meanwhile we have been “figuring it out” and Mexico, you know what the US considers nothing but Cancun, cartels, beans, and needs a wall has learned, funded, built and opened first service in Dec and almost fully running today and way bigger, about 5x in track length. Total project cost around 30bil and few years to build. MX is even manufacturing the trains in Mexico.

The only good success on how to do rail, even if not bullet speeds, in the US is Brightline. They have plans to expand even further but at least is doing something today vs another 100bil and 1-2 decades.

By all metrics the CA project is a money pit.

I think you should push through. Being vague to not give any spoilers but the human to human conflict half way through is the weakest and also the worst part of the show IMO. It picks up way more into the sci-fi realm vs factions slugging it out.

Holy smokes I have driven all those roads. Can confirm the timing sounds accurate as all those are almost 2 lane roads and you always get that person doing 60kmh when 80kmh is posted.

So sounds like hard pass for folks with kiddos?

So many questions about this

100% agree. For most small commutes, 110v outlet is just plenty but let’s all flip out until then. Is a level 2 at home handy, sure, required nope.

The amount of misinformation, FUD, and just plain lies is mind boggling.

That makes sense, I was only looking at them as a toy. What do you think of electric scooter? Far cheaper and I feel some what safer?

I agree they are cool but starting at $1k…not that cool.

I have rode them a few times but feels like $400 device to me.
