Is radio dead now? Aren't podcasts dead now too? Isn't it all youtube vids now? What is even happening?

I have a few motion activated lights in my house and really love how convenient those are. One is an in wall light switch and another is a screw in one in a ceiling light socket.

I also use my pour over coffee set daily. And my coffee grinder.

I bought a cheap little wire cutter and keep it in my junk drawer. Great for cutting zip ties and twist ties on packaging.

I keep a water bottle in the fridge. Always have cold water and hardly use glasses. Bring it to the table when you eat.

Lazy Susan on the dining room table for salt, pepper, toothpicks, pencils, sticky notes, etc.

Long plastic dollar store shoehorn by the door.

I get big packs of 3M clean removal hooks from Costco and use them all over the house to hang keys, pants, hats, string lights, jackets, etc.

Yep.

They also think The Sound of Silence is that song by Disturbed.

Silly kids. Get off my...um...music...

The bullshit I put up with. Goddamn.

That full screen win 11 thing had me going for a while until I noticed the "opt out" button. When an OS starts to become obtrusive, I start to look for alternatives. The primary reason I use Windoze is because of gaming and most of that is through Steam. SO, now that the Steam Deck has pushed some great improvements in gaming on Linux, Linux MINT may be in my near future.

I already use open office on my home machine instead of the MS Office I have to use at work.

Keep pushing M$. You'll push me right away.

Doesn't help anything that most "gum base" has PLASTIC in it.

Brits seem to really love when I heavily salt tea and heat it in the microwave. I top it off by saying "Cheerio! Pip pip!" in my best southern drawl.

Don't know why...

Imagine if the husband did this with cheerleaders while wife watched.

I think people would want the death penalty.

I'm still trying to buy physical CDs. It is getting more difficult, but they're still around.

This shitshow will only get worse, NOT better.

If you ever feel your job is useless just remember that someone, somewhere is installing turn signals in BMWs.

Life expectancy for men = 73.2 years in the USA.

So if I retire at 66, I can expect about 7.2 years of retirement. That would even be 1 year before my social security retirement age of 67. And I will have worked 52 years to achieve that retirement (I started a part time job at age 14). Work 52 to get 7.2.

Not exactly a great deal, is it? Shouldn't retirement be at least a decade?
