If I wanted to use it to real-time sync my home folder, this wouldn't work with just the browser though, right?

I've been looking for an OS replacement for Workflowy for some time, and logseq looks like it might be an option. A quick test drive makes it seem (to me at least) that it has a lot of extra bells and whistles that get in the way that I don't need. But I see that it has plugins--is it possible to set it up like a calendar and have each day have its own collapsible outline?

I honestly don't know what to think at this point; just putting this out there.

I'm putting this in chat and not in Technology because I'm also wondering about things like clothes, appliances—basically any sort of consumer product, virtual or physical, you can think of that you feel has retained some standard of quality and has not yet been enshittified. I would start by saying that Wikipedia has not yet been enshittified, but perhaps you disagree? Post is inspired by this video.

EDIT: coyotino correctly points out that Wikipedia isn't a product but a service; poor word choice on my part, just trying to cast a wide a net as possible here in the hopes of making a list of "things that are still good that don't suck." Like I said, a wide net 🙂.

Mrs. Hedge finally ditched Instagram and is moving to Pixelfed! 🙂👍🎉 Would like to like her posts but not sure if I can from here . . .

Time to switch to Linux 😁👍 (there are plenty of Adobe alternatives for it, although they don't necessarily offer 100% replacements). I'm convinced that Adobe is one of the major reasons that people stick with windows. If worse comes to worse you can run windows on Linux using a virtual machine (and believe you me, if I can do it then you can too).

Seems like most search engines these days are primarily Google-based or Bing-based. Mojeek has its own crawler, I think...

From Wikipedia: The Ludwig von Mises Institute for Austrian Economics, or Mises Institute, is a nonprofit think tank headquartered in Auburn, Alabama, that is a center for Austrian economics, radical right-wing libertarian thought and the paleolibertarian and anarcho-capitalist movements in the United States. It is named after the economist Ludwig von Mises (1881–1973) and promotes his version of heterodox Misesian Austrian economics.

Because far too many US Dems are cowards who live in fear of the conservative news media who will claim, no matter what they do, that they are "soft on crime."

If he had just kept his mouth shut, I might still think he was a genius (embarrassed about the "still" part 🤦‍♂️).

Notice too that there's always plenty of money for war as well as massive tax breaks for the scum who are allowed to legally bribe politicians.

Don't be fooled by her; she's still a crazy Republican and is solidly pro-life and anti-labor. And I kind of have this sinking feeling that she'll be the next president. Rightly or wrongly, Biden's people are supposedly way more worried about running against her than Drumpf.🍄

EDIT: Not that any of you were fooled in the first place 🙂

I grow happier by the day for being a dedicated Firefox user.

I'm reminded of the 2015 Paris Attacks, in the aftermath of which their Prime Minister said “France without Jews is not France;" I really feel like he should have also said, especially at that moment, "France without Muslims is not France." The national ban on wearing the hijab, which I believe is still in place, is an outrageous violation of human rights.

True, but I don't think those periodicals would normally (or ever) characterize themselves that way.

😡 Could a bunch of artists get together and turn it into a coop or something like that? Something that isn't forced to constantly grow or be liquidated? Dunno, just a random idea.
