I didn’t have much luck with iptv as it buffers a lot and it’s not because of my broadband speed, I already have a satellite dish on my house and was thinking about making the use of it but I don’t know where to start.

I’m assuming I need to get a special box, maybe like this? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/354681753333?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=QTcb7QRmQpO&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=2LCMph_nQpa&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

But then I wouldn’t know what to do with it, do I need to get some decryption keys from somewhere every few weeks?

I was with smarty network for a while but the signal was weak in the building so I got an eSIM from Lyca as they use EE which I’ve heard is much better with signal.

I want to keep my old number (smarty), I got my PAC code and filled in a form on Lyca website, got no confirmation, so I clicked submit again and then they showed my a duplicate request message.

I emailed Lyca support just in case as well with my details and porting details too just in case.

Next day, I didn’t get any updates, so I called Lyca, I spoke with some Indian girl who said the transfer was successful, I checked my phone and suddenly I lost signal with Smarty (old provider), and when entering *132# using Lyca eSIM it would show my old number, so I thought it’s all good now.

However the network signal came back on my old SIM (Smarty), I disabled that card in the settings, so only Lyca was active. I changed my number to the one I want to keep in iphone settings, but then iMessage won’t activate for my old number.

Whenever I call someone it shows my correct old number, but when people call me, I need to have the old SIM card (Smarty) active showing No Service, otherwise people will hear I’m not available, then as soon as they disconnect I will get a text message saying I missed a call.

Anyone knows what’s going on? Surely something is wrong as I shouldn’t have to have my old Smarty SIM card installed showing no service just so people can call me. Also iMessage still won’t activate with the old number…

I ported my number before from Three to GiffGaff (o2), then to Smarty and it was always a smooth process with text updates. With Lyca I got nothing at all through the whole process. Only difference is I’m trying to move from a physical SIM to an eSIM…

I’ve been happy with my setup for two years, I’ve got 15 devices, ikea light bulbs, ikea switches and motion sensors, it all works perfectly until last month or two.

Motion sensors start to change the status to “clear” which triggers the lights off while I’m still moving in the kitchen and bathroom.

Quite often now lags happen between motion sensor switching on the lights or the switch turning lights on or off - it always used to be instant.

My setup is not the newest as I’ve got RaspberryPi with CC2531 but I’ve been running old software all that time so that’s not the case, I’ve only updated everyone now hoping it will fix my issues but that didn’t help…

I know probably you will say I need to check logs but did anyone experience this?

I don’t use my setup for anything else like Plex Server or FTP etc…

That’s some examples errors I found when I was using ikea switch to turn the lights on.

Is it best to have HA on Windows instead using different dongle like SkyConnect?

Update: Thanks to @sidewalker@thesidewalkends.io for pointing me in the right direction. Somehow I never considered interference to be an issue. Recently I bought a Google Wi-Fi mesh system (pack of three) and I didn’t realise it could have caused interference with zigbee… I changed the channel from the default 11 to 25 and the whole setup is working perfectly again! I also moved the RPi closer to most of the smart devices and I’ve put the USB coordinator on an extension cable but I’m 99% sure the channel 11 was the main issue.

I’m running 5.13 on RPi 2 and I think it’s time to finally update, I only use it for lightbulbs and motion sensors really and it’s running fine aparto from not being able to make a backup and update via the GUI. I think it’s best to just make a fresh install, I’m going through the setup and I can only choose Home Assistant OS 10.3 (RPi 3) - can I choose this to install on my RPi 2?

Update: I think I found a proper release for RPi 2 here: https://github.com/home-assistant/operating-system/releases haos_rpi2-10.4.img.xz

Do I just install it using RPi Imager and then selecting custom img?

Can confirm, it had swipe to reply for a while now, it’s coming to iMessage in next iOS… The only thing that annoys me about WhatsApp is the high picture compression resulting in low quality images.

Soo, can I play that with my AMD card?😅

Ahh I figured it out. I went to Supervisor > Zigbee2mqtt > Configuration tab - there I noticed there was still old IP (server: mqtt://192.168.0.35:1883), I've updated that and now everything works again!

I installed Google Wifi which resulted in having new network, old router was under 192.168.0.1, new Google is on 192.168.1.1.

So previous HA IP was 192.168.0.35, I changed it via the supervisor to 192.168.1.35.

All devices are unavailable now... Zigbee2mqtt says 502: Bad Gateway... What do I do, how to fix that?

Thanks in advance.

Update: I tried doing this but there's no IP addresses there and there's only devices like my iPhone, but no light bulbs for example... From the Terminal: Change directory to /config/.storage: cd /config/.storage Then edit the core.config_entries file: nano core.config_entries

Update 2: I figured it out. I went to Supervisor > Zigbee2mqtt > Configuration tab - there I noticed there was still old IP (server: mqtt://192.168.0.35:1883), I've updated that and now everything works again!
