I’m a redhead (strawberry blonde) with very fair skin, so I sunburn extremely easily - SPF 50+ for the win!

The mention of "stage 9" immediately made me think of another one of those conspiracy theories - turbo cancer.

On the brink of revolution in 1989 Romania, six lives intersect amid protests and personal struggles, leading to the explosive fall of Ceausescu and the communist regime.

As a non-American, I find it shocking that these “wilderness therapy camps” are even legal. From what I’ve learned, teens are often taken from their homes in the middle of the night and sent to remote areas, all without their consent. How is that not inherently abusive?

It provides hope and comfort. Christianity and Romanian culture are deeply intertwined, and I’m a fan of our traditions.

Kacey Musgraves’ Deeper Well album.

Pro-Western candidate Nicusor Dan has unexpectedly beaten hard-right populist George Simion in the Romanian election.

Mr Simion, 38, and his rival - a centrist who's mayor of Bucharest - faced off in the second round of the contest.

According to the official tally, Mr Dan was leading by nearly nine percentage points with more than 98% of the votes counted.

They aren't enough votes remaining for Mr Simion to make a comeback.

The first of the two candidates in the runoff is 38-year-old George Simion, head of the extreme right-wing, pro-Russian Alliance for the Union of Romanians party.

A former football hooligan, Simion now describes himself as a "sovereignist" and is a fan of both US President Donald Trump and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

He was the clear winner of the first round of the election on May 4, garnering almost 41% of the vote.

His opponent on Sunday is 55-year-old Nicusor Dan, the independent mayor of Bucharest. Dan is a mathematician, former anti-corruption activist and a man with clear pro-European, largely liberal and at times moderately conservative positions.

He came second in the first round, albeit far behind Simion on 21%.

I haven’t even thought about recommendations - I’ve never used the recommendation system on any music streaming platform. I’m fully hands-on with my music. I actively use the internet to discover new artists and curate my own playlists and library.

I use Apple Music, and I’ve also tried Tidal and Deezer. They’re all good. I recommend taking advantage of the one-month free trials each service offers and seeing which one you prefer. At the end of the day, it really comes down to personal preference.

Harris? The candidate who received exactly 844 votes in the 2020 primaries and secured zero delegates? The same vice president who, as of June 2023, held a net favorability rating of -17% - the lowest ever recorded for someone in that office? Newsom? A textbook status-quo California liberal? If these are your “best” options, then frankly, you kind of deserve to lose.

If the Democrats had convinced Biden not to run for reelection (or invoked the 25th Amendment), held a proper primary, nominated a genuinely popular candidate, clearly denounced Israel’s actions, and offered a cohesive, forward-looking platform - one that voters could support rather than just oppose - the US might not be in this mess right now. Alternatively, they could have prosecuted and convicted Trump for treason or inciting insurrection between 2021 and 2024, and barred him from running for office again. In either case, their failure to act decisively has directly contributed to facilitating Trump’s return.

It’s 2025, and Spotify still doesn’t offer lossless audio. Don’t understand why anyone would keep using it with so many alternatives available.

The Tale of the Princess Kaguya (2013). 🤍 “The Procession of Celestial Beings I” by Joe Hisaishi is such an ethereal piece of music.
