I like lemmy but reddit is still difficult to replace due to lack of content and active communities. But I ain't using the official app so I guess here we are.

The /c/unions community kept getting non union general labor interest posts and shockingly there are not really many general labor focused communities on Lemmy. So I've made one here.

No one in this sub would know because they only go outside for rhythm game meetups.

This doesn't really fit the theme of this community.

And it's a stupid question anyway. You're showing an opinion piece. Different opinion writiters have different opinions. That's the whole point.

Hey I have had to remove my first post for being off topic. I really appreciate everyone who contributes here to this community. There's a ton of content and that's great! But I want to make sure we stay on topic, and focus on Unions, unionization efforts etc. I don't want the community to slowly turn into another generic "leftist/labor politics" community.

All posts must be about Unions in some direct way. It is not enough to merely say the subject of the link or post is in the same interests as those of Unions or labor politics. Everything is connected to everything at some level, so that just doesn't fly at some point.

Haley isn't going to win but voting for her in the primaries will help fracture the republican party further.

I know there is mobilzon but mobilzon is a meetup.com clone whereas evite is different.

Evite you can create an event and invite people via email or send them a link. They can rsvp and add it to their calendars.

Come of these features are covered by mobilzon but not quite. Evite doesn't require you make a group or add people to the group as members. It's a little more atomic. Honestly I think it's a good deal more flexible than the meetup/mobilzon design pattern.

/c/unions is worth subbing to.

That's basically the current situation.

Education is knowing that tomatoes are a fruit. Wisdom is knowing to not put them on a fruit salad.
