I recently moved the old archive to a new drive and started adding to it again. The enshittification of all the things is real, seems like if it's something I'd like to re-watch or listen to the only sane way I'll be able to do so is by making sure I have a copy some company can't yoyo around.
Yeah I'm realizing the fediverse feels so homey because it seems dominated by people old enough to remember the internet of the 90s, the ones that knew AOL was not the entire internet or even 'web' proper. We're already acclimated to an internet where 'discoverability' took a little more elbow grease.
I understand your sentiment but factually inaccurate is factually inaccurate and a disservice to the reader.
nope! It's not just an introvert thing! I work with extroverts that have actual friends OUTSIDE work they do not miss office work either. I won't lie and say it's all roses, but WFH is way better than the alternative and blaming the extroverts isn't the problem. THere is indeed a third more insane human outside the intro/extrovert spectrum, the officevert. or something.
For Tesla, it's a bad time for the cult of personality to fall apart as more electric car competition comes out every year.
keep fighting the good fight <3
Oh! So they know most of the people still on their platforms are gullible doom scrollers they can milk with crypto or whatever monetization scheme they want. They know they're scum and are cool with it.
Hmmm seems ethically wrong but a social net good? ;)
yeah and some countries with popular tld's (.fm,.tv) like the revenue they generate and have no interest in disturbing that situation. That said, there's always a risk, especially since things can change, governments change etc.
How is the mascot not a gay frog?
I usually take the angle of asking them if they act differently when they know they're being watched and to imagine a life where they're always watched.
I don't trust Brave, there's too much money tied up in it for it to be good for users.
