Alrighty. I asked myself the same question, so I will continue to today up my place in the future. Without putting stuff into cups and onto plates, of course. 😉

They were asking for this, weren't they?

The editor, Saibal Dasgupta, seems to be a journalist located in India.

Voice of America's headquarter is in Washington though, so good question.

Yes, I wish there would be more. But I am okay with the state it's in. The engagement is good enough, and I discover interesting things every other day. You can't force it anyway.

Dass die beiden immer wieder solche Prime Time Aufmerksamkeit bekommen, ist doch das eigentliche Problem.

Nima Rinji Sherpa, 18, climbed each peak with his climbing partner, Pasang Nurbu Sherpa.

Standing atop Mount Shishapangma on Wednesday morning, though, another life ambition was front of mind for the 18-year-old: to subvert the stereotype of Sherpas as mere helpers who assist foreign climbers on their ascents.

Although the word 'Sherpa' is commonly used to describe someone who is a mountain guide or porter working in the Everest area, it is in fact the name of an ethnic group of people who live in the mountains of Nepal.

This is the uplifting part here for me 👍

"I woke up and saw this new antivirus system on my desktop and I tried opening kaspersky but it was gone. So I had to look up what happened because I was literally having a mini heart attack that my desktop somehow had a virus which uninstalled kaspersky somehow," one user said.

To make things worse, while some users could uninstall UltraAV using the software’s uninstaller, those who tried removing it using uninstall apps saw it reinstalled after a reboot, causing further concerns about a potential malware infection.

Oh my!

"Under the law, any man who marries a girl under the age of 18 could face at least 15 years in prison and a fine of around $4,000. Parents or those attending such marriage ceremonies could also face fines"

Good news. Remove the coulds and I'm really convinced. I hope they enforce those laws as strict as they can.

Oh come on, stop it with this perpetual culture war.

"What seems to work best is a carrot-and-stick approach—creating positive reasons to take a bus or to cycle rather than just making driving harder."

I guess this is why we shouldn't only play the "fuck cars" tune but also include melodies like "we love to bike" and "public transport is fun" 😉

Quite on point! But I would get rid of the "all rolled in one" because they'd get the impression it's one app that can do everything.

Something like: "Some parts are like Reddit, others like Twitter or YouTube. And they can all talk to each other."

So greift bei Fleisch und Wurst ein ermäßigter Mehrwertsteuersatz von sieben Prozent. Für Ersatzprodukte werden hingegen 19 Prozent fällig.

Das muss auch endlich mal geändert werden.

I'd like to see a button that hides a post from my timeline and fills up the slot with the next interesting thing. Well, yes, just like Reddits hide post feature.

I had my subreddits neatly organized into different categories with several multis. Is there a feature (planned) in Lemmy that can recreate this?
