Not my neck of the woods, but I'm hearing my closest one has had a bit of a refurb so will find out on the weekend!
I meant to say this yesterday, you've inspired me to get back to doing the plasma donations I used to do until my schedule went to shit a few years back. The final kick in the pants I needed. You're doing good!!
I do wish my donation centre had the yummy food lots of people seem to get though! Last time I was there there WAS the Nippy's milk though, can't go wrong with that I guess! :D
Oh joy. Impending major restructuring at my workplace. No redundancies, more like the drive-the-people-remaining-to-breaking-point strategy.
My 11th year may end up being my last, time to dust off the resume and get the hell out of here :| At least I hit my LSL eligibility beforehand... :\
Ugh it feels like Friday 13th got here 3 days late. Bad medical appointment this morning, bad news at work, bad news on a couple of other fronts as well. Today can just fk off, I want my money back.
For real, if I'd done something like that I'd seriously be sleeping in the car. With the fishes. While wearing concrete shoes.
I'm #1.
No I'M #1.
Idiots, circling the drain.

Did you ever give anything away thinking it's worthless, or that you'll never use or want it again, and then over a decade later think WHY TF DID I DO THAT I'M A COMPLETE IDIOT?!?!?!?!
Yeah that's me.
Missing my old Macintosh 512K from 1984 with second external disk drive, in perfect working condition. That I now want to tinker with bad, especially now that there are great storage/communications options that can be built for them.
Retro-computing is EXPENSIVE now.
Why can I only press the upvote button once? I'm mashing the button and the number isn't going up by more than one...
Anti - Clarity thread:
Worked all weekend because hey, weekends are over-rated right? Time for day 8 of the working week. Thanks, Crowdstrike... :|
Staff are all back on-deck today. Pray for Mojo... and remember, friends don't let friends work in IT.
I think it's because we expect them to work as well as the ones we had plastered all over our bedroom ceilings back in the 80's... which of course were likely full of chemicals that would have a snowflake's chance in hell of meeting any modern safety standards!
I mean hey, they looked great when I was 9, and the fact that I now glow in the dark all by myself is just a cool side-effect =)
The questions and checks were pretty thorough when I first signed up back in the day, to make sure people weren't donating who really shouldn't for some reason - they're very strict on donor welfare which is great. And they always keep an eye on people after their donations, who are sitting around a bit before heading off. Very well run and well managed places in my experience!
Strangely I always felt 'better' afterwards when giving plasma rather than whole blood, but again YMMV!
