In Huawei at least, you don't have the ability to install a custom ROM. They don't allow you to unlock the bootloader.

But why are they still supporting platforms run by billionaires? It's so easy to talk, theorize and posture as this revolutionary figure. But when it comes down to giving up one single convenience, people freak out. I don't know if I can take these people seriously.

Read the comment that I'm replying to. The idea that there's a threat to the state of Israel in its entirety is a fantasy. It's basically used to have Israel do anything with immunity. Israel can eradicate the region if it wants to, Hamas does few harms here and there. Israel kills thousands and thousands and Hamas takes years to do any damage and it gets talked about forever. You talk about 60 second timers and shelters, Palestinians have no timers and no shelters just people and children dying left and right. There's certainty antisemitism on that side but there are also some anti Arabic sentiments. Haven't you seen the Israelis that shout "the only good Arab is a dead Arab" and how they are gonna murder every single Arab they can find? There are videos of this way before any Hamas attacks.

It's probably referring to the Seinfeld episode "The Yada Yada" where Jerry is accused of being anti-dentite for making a joke about his dentist.

I am not on Twitter. I did find the first episode of the specials way too heavy-handed, but I absolutely loved the other two episodes. I love when Doctor Who has progressive messages but I want them to feel more organic and less like a morality tale. I love the appearance of the new doctor and I hope they will not do the preachiness in the same way in the coming seasons.

Yes it's always read right to left, which can be confusing when you combine English and Arabic. When you reach the Arabic word or sentence you jump to its beginning which is the first Arabic letter to the right, read it from there to the left, and then continue to the next English word when you're done.

When installing Debian, if you choose to enable a root account then sudo is not installed by default and your user isn't added to the sudo group. Next time try to opt for not enabling the root account to have a similar experience to other distros. Debian does this doe security reasons but it's annoying for users used to a certain way of doing things. Many distros just disable root account by default so you don't see that issue.

Piracy makes up for some huge inequalities in the world. The prices for digital goods do not usually take into account the economies of certain regions. I live in Morocco and our money is really low compared to the dollar. 1 dollar is like 7 Dirhams. The average salary for a normal job is really low if you convert it to dollars. So services like Netflix and HBO would cost 10 times more if you factor in wages and conversion to dollars. Why should we pay that just because we live in another place ? Why do these services pretend to be global and yet they are enforcing US prices on the rest of the world. You can't even speak of physical goods because Amazon doesn't give a fuck about Africa. Books would cost 3 times their price in shipping and you have to wait a month or so, not to mention that there are limits on how much currency you spend internationally. The fees for an international card are so high also. In short, without piracy 90 percent of the world wouldn't be able to partake in anything.

I've just switched from Fedora to Debian 12 and I can't seem to get bridge networking to work. I've followed the official guide and edited the /etc/network/interfaces. I double checked and everything is correct. I rebooted the system but my ethernet stopped working altogether. Are there any updated guides and common pitfalls that I should keep in mind. I need the bridge for kvm.
