You commit a crime? You get a chaperone bot following you around and keeping you from doing it again.

😍

Trying that from LatAm->USA on a work visa would look something like this at border entry:

🔄🔄🔄

(They figure it’s been factory reset to hide the texts to arrange some “totally legit” work authorization docs, etc.) Take with grain of salt of course

This led me to something interesting!

Thanks for the reality check

“Lucky we’re not countersuing! Oh the damages you are certain to be causing in the futureeee, the burns”

Actually now that I think about it maybe this was a multimillion dollar protest. The headlines have been published for and wide. I bet a few people spent more time feeling guilty than working right after as well - imagine one of them quitting. Still somewhat hard to believe it would lose them contracts but perhaps there will be potential customers who want to avoid connection with Microsoft until this blows over.

Wow AWESOME -

I Found My News!

Thanks EV 🤗

btw been looking for this, recently had wanted to give ground.news some $ for their bias-management news model (though must be some automated summaries 😬)

Well I can make my own Ground News with RSS: add some of these good local sources you’ve shared, and then identify the most tasteful/ethical folks on the right and see what comes out of their mouths too (just to be sure I’m a real person and not idk a lefty clown knee jerking to my entire life 24/7)

😀🙏

The debate shows… the next generation it’s OK to have strong feelings both ways?

(initially I was going to make a point that seemed on shaky ground given search engines exist - “not everyone has formed their opinion yet” so for those [young] people, just check out a couple opposing books from the local library and that’s sufficient? Ooooh, what about when they want to debate what they read! Ground feels less shaky!)

Ahahaha one downvote - the contrast between the factual, informative, and insightful… vs. the embarrassment of giving education a thumbs down and walking away without a word.

Tremendous comment. Handily beat mine from a moment ago. (You’d’ve made my Sidebar point much better if it’d been your own)

There is definitely room for debate on wealth rankings!

As far as data on billionaires' assets goes, Forbes and Bloomberg would certainly like to think they have a handle on holdings, investments, and real estate… but of course, they're not going to know just how much bullion is under Putin's mattresses.

Sidebar!

I've come to form a perspective over the years: when I read something terrible, I find I can easily discover even more terrible claims that my first few search results can’t immediately confirm. And I actually worry that even a minute spent on the uncertain 'maybes' represents the loss of important time that could be dedicated to a known evil. (Plus, friends and the likeminded end up arguing even when they agree on up to 100% of everything important.)

Coming back to Reich's point: Musk could be number one, number five, or number fifty.

In any case, the fact that individuals can blow unlimited cash in elections remains total garbage.

Hmmm

Take concept of e.g. “Edda van Heemstra Hepburn-Ruston” -> Audrey Hepburn…

Add “stereotyping”…

¡Hola Carlos!

How protesty!

Tangent!

Hey are you able to use their map on mobile without issue? It’s the worst I’ve used in years. It might treat one finger like two, or none at all. Too tired to email them right now but certainly whack on the latest iOS on a new phone.
