Can't you do all the script blocking from uMatrix in uBlock Origin?
No, any instance federated with lemmy.world that has users who are subscribed to LemmyShitpost are affected.
I'll tell you that even at 4 I see differences in my son's behavior if he watches Turtles or if he watches something like Puffin Rock.
Can someone explain the defederation thing to me? I thought that was "cutting the cord" yet I see people from lemmy.world commenting here.
The problem is that tablets like this generally can't take advantage of the turbo boost on the CPU due to thermal throttling. I'll wait and see, but I expect it to perform worse than an N5100 laptop.
I would argue that instances with a large amount of illegal content would be a good case for defederation as well, but I don't know where the line is. Like I don't want us to block piracy communities, but if an instance has CP or something it should be blocked. So the line is somewhere between the two.
I have accounts on four instances that are all still open for registration. And two did have an approval required but I got it within hours.
It happens on Edge but not Firefox I believe. My work laptop defaults to Edge (and we use all Microsoft Web services so I haven't cared to switch the default) and Google services prompt to try Chrome there.
Edit: I just checked and it doesn't seem to be there. Either I imagined it or they removed it.
Boil em?
Honestly with things like Heroic it's unlikely that you really need to "tinker" much regardless.
This was only true since the Wii.
Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter. Despite being Microsoft, it uses Miracast.
